The night climb was one of the most amazing experiences of our lives. We were nervous about climbing in the dark, but the head lights and hiking poles were incredible and made the journey to the top feel very quick and safe. Renato was an incredible guide with such a fun personality. You can tell he’s an expert and given the fact he’s climbed Pico mountain thousands of times, we could not have been in better hands. He made us feel safe the entire time and gave us helpful tips along the way. At the top, we all watched the sunrise and Renato treated everyone to some amazing coffee and cookies. Renato let us take our time with photos and even took a bunch for us. I would highly recommend eXPerience2351 to anyone visiting Pico. This experience was the highlight of our trip and I have no doubt all of their other tours are just as amazing.

We did the Nightclimb on Pico at the 4th of September with a small group of four people and our guide Renato. We started the climb early in the morning around 2 AM. It was a perfect day. Our guide has explained us the stars (and there were really a lot of stars. Amazing). We reached the top after 2:45 hours and had quite enough time to lie down for maybe one hour to have a look at the sky and the stars above. When the first glimbs of sun appeared we took a lot of great pictures. And we got some warm tea. The descending took a bit longer, about 3:30 hours. We didn't get any injuries and are proud that we've managed the trip. Thanks a lot to Renato for having such a good time and so great photos because of his experience and ideas. We'll come back for sure:-)

I have been on a day tour with Renato in July 2019, climbing Pico. A day before I have read some reviews about the mountain and most of them wasn't too encouraging, the more I read the more I became unsure and finally I wasn't sure can I make it on the top at all and even hadn't sleep well a night before. :D But Renato was so confident and so professional that there was no chance to unsucceed. And his more than 2.200 times of climbing this rock is just unbelievable achievement and rases great respect for. These guides are like ironmen and Renato is one of the best. I hope I'll be back to the Pico one day getting up for the night trip.

My friend and I climbed Pico Alto on 13th August 2019. Our guide was Ricardo, from Experience 2351. We had a fantastic time - we got so lucky with the weather and the experience was amazing. Ricardo was also an excellent guide - knowledgable about the mountain and the island; friendly; fun and very supportive, especially during the decent which was extremely challenging. I would highly recommend Experience 2351 to anyone wishing to do a guided climb of the mountain - it’s really worth it. Thanks to the team there for all the support and this great experience, Catherine & Natacha

Renato is a wonderful and professional guide in every way. We climbed Mount Pico (partway) with him - he's knowledgeable about the geology of the mountain, flexible in that he can change routes and ideas on a dime, and he can analyze climbers' skill level quickly.
