Very nice experience with Central Sub. No rush, lots of explanations, good material, all the needed gear to stay warm (over jacket). Our French-Portuguese dive master Silvio was very knowledgeable (marine biologist) and nice too us. He offered to redo some basic exercises during the dive as my daughter and I had not done any dive for the last 2 years. As we stayed at 12 meters (max for my daughter), I wish we staid a bit longer under water, but I guess 45' is sort of the standard dive time everywhere. All in all, very nice experience. Recommended!

This is a clean, solid, and reasonably priced dive operator conveniently located on the marina 'strip' in Faial. Vera was very informative, pleasant, & helpful. What's best? We did TWO dives including full equipment rental with a more workable time schedule for the same price as doing ONE dive with a different operator in the very same area. Plus, Central Sub is neater and more organized than at least one of their nearby competitors several shops down at the end of the marina strip, and the other outfit makes you clean & drag all your own stuff around...which is generally fine, but you're paying them nearly double for less 'service' and diving in the same water? Forget it, Central Sub is nicer and more helpful in my opinion, use them!

We did two dives with Vera and the "Central Sub"-Team. We didn't plan to do some dives on Faial, but as we saw the prices, we decided to go for it. (Normally on the azores you pay about 90€ for two dives with equipment, with Central Sub you pay 65€!) The equipment is quiet new and really good! Vera and her team are very friendly and open. We had two different dives, which were really good. We're happy to have done that! So thumbs up for "Central Sub"!
