Some of Horta's best burgers and other delicious things - but don't expect a big farmers market, especially later in the day. Locals come to sell in the morning, and leave once their produce has sold. If you arrive too late, there's also a shop around the corner, and an awesome bakery.

We thought we must have gone on wrong day or time despite being told its open everyday 7 tiill 3. So we returned on Saturday which should have been busiest day. There was one veg stall,one lady selling grapes and two men inside with a couple of fish. Sad.

We went to the mercado hoping to pick up a few things for back at the hotel. It was the saddest looking farmer's market with some opportunities to eat (and perhaps risk a food borne illness). Best advice:stay away.
