We had a wonderful day on the citrus family farm and exploring Silves! Even though it was raining it was still the perfect activity - and the guide helped us out by providing extra umbrellas and raincoats.
We really enjoyed visiting the farm, picking oranges, and making marmalade. We had young children with us and they had an absolute blast. The hosts were so incredibly warm, welcoming, accommodating and kind. The lunch was our favourite meal in Portugal - so delicious and warm on a cooler day! It was the perfect family friendly activity that gave us a taste of farm life, family life, and culture in the Algarves. Highly recommend!

Attended a winter retreat arranged through the Women’s Travel Tribe.
We spent 2 days in Lisbon and 10 days in the Algarve region of Portugal with Gloria and Matteo as our hosts.
It was a totally wonderful trip! Gloria and Matteo were wonderful hosts who became our true friends.
We experienced beautiful scenery/ walks, amazing food and wine/ cocktails, and lovely accommodations especially enjoyed the hosts own B and B Gato Preto!
We were introduced to many artisanal producers in the region and their enthusiasm was contagious. I felt we really got to see the real people of Portugal and they were all so welcoming and entertaining.
I would highly recommend any tour Gloria and Matteo organize. Their attention to detail and the needs of their guests is exceptional.

Matteo is a fantastic guide, knowledgeable and passionate about the area he lives. We saw some really interesting sites on the way, learned about the beautiful countryside we biked through, met some local food producers and ate lovely things. We had a fabulous meal on a local farm, and were really lucky with our group too.
We hadn't been on ebikes before, and loved it. They allow people with a wide range of fitness and experience levels to ride together, and cover a good amount of distance as well.
A great tour, we highly recommend it.

I booked a private event with Algarve Food Experiences for my partner’s birthday and it was absolutely amazing! Gloria was attentive and helpful and made sure that everything was how I asked. I was quite nervous as I didn’t know what to expect but the whole experience was a memory that we will never forget! Matteo (who came to pick us up from our hotel/dropped us back off) was awesome. He was very polite and friendly. The farm that we went to in the Silves countryside was a farm that belongs to a man called Jose and it was so beautiful. Jose cooked us some DELICIOUS food. Seriously delicious. The peri-peri chicken wings were out of this world. And Gloria made us a pasta dish which was honestly the best spaghetti I have ever had! Safe to say that it is the best food we have had on our trip in Portugal and probably in our top 5 of the best meals we’ve had in our lifetime! Everything was authentic, fresh and crazily tasty. Big thank you to Gloria, Matteo, Jose and Lilliane. (apologies if we have spelt any names wrong). Highly recommend this to anyone visiting Portugal.

My trip included 10 days trekking around the beautiful algarve area with Mateo and Gloria. They are exceptional hosts who are now friends. The trip was well organized and the itinerary they put together was wonderful. Great food, wine and experiences most travelers will never have. I highly recommend!

Thank you Matteus for arranging our e-bike tour. was our first time on e-bikes, although we're experienced bikers. The extra power made it very comfortable in the hills. Amazing views and some exiting climbs and descents.

We loved our full day ebike tour with Matteo and Gloria. They are incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and fun. The breakfast in the secret garden and our picnic lunch on a hilltop were highlights. This is a great way to see the countryside.

This trip exceeded our expectations (which is difficult to do)! I expected a meager breakfast on the road but was treated to a full spread of eggs, homemade bread and jams, chorizo, fresh orange juice, coffee and more served in a beautiful farm setting. The biking was breath-taking. Lunch was equally as spectacular. I don’t often speak in superlatives but this is one of the best tours I have experienced. Thank you Mateo!

From Market to Table private cookery class was the highlight of our trip to Portugal. Even after the experience was over, my wife and I were going back to our car to leave and we both said "That was the best thing ever!". Paula was very accommodating (allergies) in her cooking, taught us several techniques and recipes, and was very welcoming into her home. Also very knowledgeable about the area. We had a great time and the food was excellent. Highly recommend!!
