Good beach, with an extensive sandy beach and a pedestrian area that runs along all the nearby beaches. However, it is a beach that, for those with children, is most recommended to go to at the end of the day as it is very popular during the day, not only by tourists but also by local residents, and it sometimes becomes an impossible mission to find a spot on the sand. to be at ease.

An absolutely beautiful walk I took on the way to Armacao de Pera Beach - Stunning, photographic images that are otherworldly. Make sure to pack food and drinks as there are no shops along this walk, it's in-between Vidamar Resort and Armacao de Pera Beach (both those places will have food shops). I went on my own first time, then went with friends, then I went with my better-half. It's beautiful.

This beautiful, beach is accessed by a dirt road leading to a long board walk over the dunes to the beach. There are no facilities or places for food or drink. Those 3 factors keep this beach fairly quiet. The beach stretches east to Albufeira and west to Armacão de Pera. Walk on the beach or the newly completed boardwalk that follows mostly north of the dunes. Ample parking. No overnight parking allowed.

The beach itself is good but it loses value when there are rescuers swimmers and not having is the same thing, during the afternoon unfortunately the swimmer was always in the bar above without being watching the beach, where my mother that same afternoon could have drowned if it was not a person close to saving her. Having there swimmers who are not qualified to be there is better to put others, because to go there to be on the cell phone or be with phones in the ears or even go to the bar everyone knows how to do it. But unfortunately it is not only on this beach on all the beaches it happens.

As you drive into the beach from Armação you pass the old towers and windmills. Often there is a shepherd with a large flock of sheep. Walking paths all through this area. The road switches to san and is vey bumpy. Turn to the east and the marsh and watch the birds. There is a large flock of flamingos here. Park at the end by the boardwalk. Walking to the east gets you closer to the marsh. Straight ahead takes you to the beach. Although the boardwalk is long it is a much easier walk than many of the other beaches.

One of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. The surf varies from place to place, but it is not very rough anywhere. Wind was strong, but manageable. The landscape surrounding is breathtaking, with lots of bird activity. We will be going back, I'm sure.

This beach is 20 km from where we stay in Algarve. Chilled and pleasant mix of naturists and non-naturists. Bar Carlos one end and a beach kiosk the other. What more could you want? Ample parking and never packed.

With extensive parking and two well built boardwalks, access is very easy. When you get there the beach seems to stretch on forever in both directions. As a result it is never crowded, very peaceful and always litter-free. The swimming is easy with a safe gently sloped beach. The Western half from Mario's kiosk to the river mouth near Pera is naturist-friendly making this one of the best beaches on the Algarve and a credit to the beach management. We come back twice a year from England and love it.

Its absolutely beautiful here. Didn’t really get busier until mid afternoon. Plenty of parking nearby, with the possibility for overnight stays in campervans. Nice little restaurant on the beach too. Just a shame the sea was absolutely freezing! It’s certainly refreshing ...

This beach is also very nice and has some nice formations around. It is close to restaurants and shops.
The water is choppy and cool but the day we were there had quite a few people. A ver nice place to spend half a day.
