Good place to wonder around and have a ice cream looking at the boats. Struggled to find good traditional Resturant not serving frozen chips! The food appeared to be more expensive than I’ve experienced in other Algarve marinas.

Drove to vilamoura, and had a pleasant walk around the marina which has a lovely Irish bar with a water mill, stopped for a welcoming cool drink, shops boutique style, lovely ice cream parlour to die for just choose your cone or cup etc and...More
We drove to Vilamoura but there are good bus services and organised trips here also. Coastal trips to the Algarve caves can be booked among many activities available. An excellent range of quality shops to look round and restaurants serving many cuisines - spoilt for...More
How this marina has changed in the 20 years since we last visited! Surrounded by high rise hotels, many restaurants, noisy bars and shops, it was barely recognisable. There seemed to be many groups of hen/stag parties thoroughly enjoying themselves watching football and drinking in...More
We spent a day in Vilamoura looking at potential properties to buy and found the area so green and lush, compared to the other areas. However, it is very touristy and the Marina is full of huge boats and lined with over priced restaurants. It...More
Marina De Vilamoura has a vey large area to dock boats about 800 or so, nice place to sit in the shade and pass some time. Not something I can see at home, pleasant time wasting.
This is a nice area to visit with lots of expensive yachts to look at. The places to eat are all very mainstream aimed at tourists. There isn't really anything traditional to see here.
Quite daunting to see such wealth all crammed into this marina. It smells money but having said that it's a real sight to behold. A nice horse shoe shape with shops, restaurants, bars & estate agents back to back all way round. It's very pleasant...More
After a belated 15 year absence, we made the mistake of revisiting Villamoura. Oh dear, how it has sunk - exclude the pun. It's become Albufeira with yachts, complete with sex shop and massage parlour. It used to be a nice place to promenade and...More
