We visited yesterday, taking a trip arranged locally to Loule. Lots of positive ‘sell’ to visit this gypsy market. Well Loule was interesting- lots of history etc. Walked to other end of this small town to get to gypsy market which was a mass of...More

It's a market, what do you expect, a markets a market, expect cheap phoney stuff. All said and done couple of hours passed, better to go into the town to the stalls up the alleyways and roads, more interesting

I guess like all other markets, lots of the same things at several of the stalls. Found some of them very pushy to the point of being aggressive. Not somewhere I would return.

This was a bit of a disappointment. Everything was closed or closing when we arrived at hour before the closing time. Some good deals on tourist type items. The market in town is much nicer.

The market was interesting - lots of activity and even more noise & shouting. The vendors seem to try to shout louder than the other, to get the shopper’s attention. Need to barter, and of course if you walk away, the price drops. Most of...More

All you'd expect from genuine MK bags for 10 Euros!!!!! To cheap underwear and nice locally made jewellery. We went in February and it was emptying but I gather when the season starts the market drastically improves. 2 tips, taxi from Albufeira should be around...More

There is an organised trip here regularly - look for trips being offered in the local shops and compare prices to get the best deal.
