Even though our children are teens we thought we would give this a go. It is more aimed at small children but at €7 for a family ticket it was an interesting way to while away an hour away from the heat; the aircon was great! Lovely gardens too with fantastic views out to sea.

7 euros buys a family ticket for this out of the way attraction in Lagos, but it's a great price for a reasonable and interesting attraction. There are a wide range of exhibits for children and adults to participate in, some indoors, some outdoors. The staff work hard to explain the exhibits to children and help them with their translations... More

As mentioned this is a small friendly museum with 'hands on' displays. There are not many but those that are there were fun and the kids enjoyed it. Very cheap at 7€ for 2 adults and 2 kids. Don't expect too much and you'll enjoy the break from the heat

A Nice place and The idea was great. We were left alone and a guided tour would have been perfect. It was so many things that didn't work, or har to understand. We saw a lot of staff but no one seemed to bother. We learned some, and it was nice but could have been a better experience.

We stopped in on one of the few days we had of rain. Inexpensive..a guided tour..interactive. We had no children this visit . However watching other children in the museum having fun , this is definitely a good stop for kids. We didn't know anything about Portugal before our trip and was truly a place to help us fill In... Spent an easy two hours strolling round the museum and gardens. My kids 8 and 10 both really enjoyed the place. The interactive displays were fun for them and me. The staff were great with the kids.

Read about this on TripAdvisor so dragged my kids up to the museum after lunch. A friendly museum guide showed us around while a boy visiting from the States also showed girls how everything worked with enthusiasm and impressive know-how. The best bit was perhaps playing in the garden. The girls "built" the faro / lighthouse while I literally fell... More

Not much to see really. If you're passing by may be worth popping in. Not much more to say really. Not worth the high rating it has on TripAdvisor

Lots of interactive things to do for children - probably age 4 onwards. The outdoor gardens and play were good to let the children loose. Spent 1-2 hours here.

We visited this lovely, virtually secret science museum with our kids aged 4 and 6, looking for something to do on a non-beach day. We really found a little gem. The museum has clearly had some funds invested it recently, with plenty of activities to keep our children amused for over an hour, with Portuguese and English translation throughout. There... More
