We offer horse riding and carriage driving facilities for both the experienced rider to complete novice. We offer guided horseback trails of differing lengths from 1 hour to 1 week. We also arrange horse riding and carriage driving adventures together, a great advantage for groups of differing abilities and fitness. These guided trails can include a beach picnic or lakeside barbeque and riders and drivers may sample some of the mouthwatering products from our famous Country Cooking School. Our stables and horses, together with our unrivalled catering facilities, form an unforgettable theme for parties and other events. We have hosted birthday parties for young and not so young and several corporate hospitality and team building events. We are only 15 minutes drive from some of Europe’s best surf beaches and the historic harbour of Lagos. We can arrange collection from your hotel or villa

I'm not sure where to begin and how to show gratitude towards this family farm nestled into the hills near Aljezur Portugal. Ossie, Manny, and Milton (and their dog Gloria) welcomed us onto their land to ride horses to celebrate my friend's birthday. We had signed up to ride to the sea and back which would take roughly 4-5 hrs. I'd never ridden English style before but they were so kind to give me tips. The horses were gorgeous and the bond between them and their owners is a loving one full of mutual respect. Manny led my friend and I through some farmland, stunning trails, ruins, villages, and to the coast. Riding among sheep, goats, cattle, and cobblestones. We stopped for a picnic lunch made by his mom Frances (the carrot cake was to die for) and finished the ride to share a beer back at the ranch and play with all the animals. We left so happy and fulfilled. I'll never forget this farm and the experience of riding along the coast on their beautiful horses. I can't recommend them enough and I don't think I will ever forget that day. Extra special thanks to Manny for answering all of our questions about the landscape and the history of the area.

The owners of the farm were very flexible with regards to our group size, time and day! Booking it was super easy! 👌
Also the way is well directed with signs along the way so you don't take a wrong turn 😉
When we arrived, the horses were already ready, and Milton, one of the owners introduced us to them and helped us up onto the horse.
The horses were super calm along the right while Milton gave us stories and explanation about local plants, farming and nature! Very interesting!
We went for the 2 hour ride which was just enough for us beginners!
Definitely would come back!

Im so happy I found this wonderful stable during my holiday. I first did the long beach ride, and then came back for more a few days later for a shorter mountain tour with my friend who was on a horse for the first time. Manny is an excellent guide, the environment is beautiful, and horses are energetic and healthy. Highly recommended!

After confirming a ride easily by phone the evening before, Manny took my cousin and i out on a 2 hour ride. My cousin has only ever been on a horse once and i am an experienced rider. Manny gave us lots of information about the surrounding (and beautiful) area, at the same time as allowed us to appreciate the tranquility and beauty of the place. We had lots of oppotunities to have a trot, and my cousin was particuarly excited that she was able to give rising trot a really good go with lots of help from Manny. I also was able to have a canter at the back of the ride which i also appreciated a lot. All 3 horses were very well behaved and very sweet, and they all looked very well cared for. Over all we really enjoyed the experience and i would definitely return if i find myself back here in the future. Thanks Manny!

A lovely ride through the tracks and trails in the National Park close to New Forest Lodge with Milton. Buneca was a good horse and Milton gave excellent guidance and tips for a very occasional rider. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of getting back on a horse.

Beautiful scenery, nice riding guides who also inform about the surroundings and plants. The horses are very pleasant to ride!

A wonderful 2 hr hack with Milton! Horses were very well cared for, happy and easy to ride (we are experienced riders). Milton was chatty and knowledgeable about the area and Portuguese culture which made for an informative ride. We had great fun galloping through the forests and past the many lakes. Amazing experience for all ages and abilities and a chance to explore the rustic Portuguese countryside. Next time we’ll do the beach ride!

Had a really nice trail with Milton! He was very friendly and gaven some nice facts about the environment and was easy to chat with 😊. The horses looked very good and well trained.

What a great adventure with Milton and his horses! The communication beforehand was excellent - Milton (our guide) offered us to postpone the ride because of the bad weather conditions!
Our ride through the woods was wonderful, Buneca and Sunshine were well behaved horses with loads of energy!
There was a real good vibe on the farm, all the animals are well treated and one could feel the connection between Milton and his animals! - LOVELY!
We totally recommend a trip to the HORSES IN THE SUN!

My friend and I are not experienced riders but we love riding. We contacted Manny in the afternoon for the following day and he confirmed within a couple hours.
We chose this place because we like the area and we were very happy with the choice. We went for a 2 hours ride in the forest, up and down the hills. While riding, Manny told us a lot about the nature and the area.
Horses are very calm and well kept, it was a pleasure to ride with them.

Hi, you will find it hard to get a taxi to come out here as they do not like the dirt roads. We can arrange pick up from most areas, if you email us with the address of the place you are staying we will send you a quote.
