Did a Kayak tour from Porto de Mos to Ponte de Piede. The views were incredible and it was awesome to paddle in and out of the grottos and caves along the cliffs that the larger motor boats could not access. Easy paddling even for a couple of over 50 yr olds! Would not do the kayak trip here with... More

Fab views etc. Well worth visit. 30 minute walk from centre of Lagos. No public buses for return. You need to go to Dona Ana beach to get a bus. There is a "choo-choo" train stop at Ponta da Piedade but it is very unreliable - didn't show at time displayed. Nearby Praia do Camilo also well worth visit -... More

Pick a calm sea day. If in Lagos this is a must. Long climb down steps to tiny quay and on a hot day this can be a struggle coming up! 15 Euros per head. Do not be put off by q, wait is never more than 15 minutes....lots of boats operating

We thought about the boat tours for a long time and saw the swarms of boats going along the beach. We went to view the Ponta da Piedade from the top and the photos were spectacular. We made the trek down to the jetty to be told by a man we couldn't go to bottom part. At 15 Euros for... More

Nice place to be, especially in the late afternoon before the sunset. Lots of stairs until reaching the sea level, but worthwhile.

According to the American magazine Huffington Post, Praia da Ponta da Piedade is the most beautiful beach in the world, ..What could I say more !!! A blue sky that merges with the turquoise water, natural beauty comes from mostly limestone rock formations and numerous caves carved by the sea and the wind, Really a place that deserves to be... Well worth a visit providing get you can manage the steep steps. Fabulous views. Worth getting the little tourist train there - only three euros and a lovely ride.

You need to come here to see the exquisite views and scenery around the cliffs. Best at sunrise or sunset for the amazing colours of the rocks and to avoid the heat of the day. Best to walk up from the nearby beach although you can park right by the cafe for free. The cafe btw is ok and reasonably... More

We stopped here when using the land train to get explore the area. Walking around the headland there are plenty of photo opportunities. The walk down the steps is good to get down to the coves at the bottom, however there are an awful lot of people here, and what with the heat, some people struggled with the steps back... More
