Long long long beautiful sandy beach with wonderful sea to swim in. Can be really windy but it's the Algarve so you wouldn't be here and not know that. Walk for miles away from Lagos or just lie like I did on the sand and relax.

Lots of loungers and umbrellas available to rent for 10 euro on the Hughes beach that stretches for many kilometres. We walked ten minutes here from the Marina. A few beach bars are handily located and there is lots of free parking. Soft, clean white sand beach with lots of room for the thousands who come here on a hot... More

Its a big beach with plenty of space for all and an excellent place to swimming. When there is no wind and the water temperature is good it seems like a paradise at end of afternoon.

Brilliant huge beach - goes on for miles. Loads of activities can be hired. Waves were fab when we visited- knocking over kids. Water also quite warm.

Great beach to enjoy family vacations without having your neighbour sat on your towel and safe for the kids.. Don't miss the Bolinhas..:-)

This is our 4th visit here to Meia Praia and it never fails to disappoint. The beach is safe, clean and well cared for. The beach restaurants are friendly and always a pleasure to end the day in.

Great beach , you can walk for miles , very clean , lots of sea shells washed up along the shoreline , wind can blow the sand about so take a wind break , watched the locals fishing in the evenings

Lovely long beach with plenty of nearby, free parking. Lagos ans Meia Praia train stations will put you almost directly on the beach. There are beach restaurants serving meals and snacks. Close enough to Lagos Marina and Lagos itself to walk.

This is a standard wide beach but the day we were there, winds were up so it was like being sand blasted. I'm sure on a calm day it would be lovely. A couple of beach restaurants.

A lovely sandy beach, very long, with many facilities. Easy walk to the crowded part from Lagos but if you have a car you can drive to the far end for isolation. Sea usually very safe but also excellent lifeguards. Something for everyone
