Lagos Marina is stunning, really nice place for a quiet walk or breakfast / lunch. Many restaurants, cafes and bars are located in the marina. Many boat trip and attractions here to visit and do also. A few small shops also are located at the marina, along with restrooms.

It’s always good to walk round here and then have a drink at one of the cafe bars. Really cool just sitting there watching the boats coming and going.

We took a short walk around the Marina:though pleasant enough,we felt it lacked in character.Surrounded by modern developments of shops and restaurants,it seemed to me more like a car-park for boats. In many parts of Europe I have seen so many really beautiful marinas in lovely locations and with real individual character. We much preferred walking round the old town of Lagos.

Dog owners come to the marina to make their dog defecate all day long. Walking around the marina you will see at least a dozen dogs doing it.

There is no police around so the dogs are not on leech.

More than half the dog owners do not clean after their dog so everywhere you see you will see dog excrement on the pavement.

It's just a unclean place. Not maintained at all. I would seriously advise you not to spend your hard earn money on a vacation in Lagos.

The beach also if full of dog excrement everywhere.

Great to walk around and watch the beautiful boats. Also, hundreds of fish swimming around.
We sat in the main marina and had a refreshing drink whilst watching the world go by.
Absolutely lovely.

The “Marina de Lagos” is a modern marina located in the Bay of Lagos, next to the Historic Center of the city. It was inaugurated in the year 1994 and receives pleasure boats on theire visit of this region of Portugal or, that are, passing by sea, for other stops. It has 460 seats for boats and their support facilities (toilets / changing rooms, laundry, etc.); it has shopping and dining areas, a hotel (Marina Club), residential areas, green and leisure areas (namely Parque Aventura, for the fun of the youngest), also offering activities such as deep-sea fishing and boat trips. visitors who wish to discover the Algarve from the sea.
This is also the location of the “Discovery Museum” with his “Wax” statues,

way past the marina which is pretty enough but nothing outstanding as marinas go. Better to cross the bridge and see activities of fishermen landing their catch, if you are lucky!
