Long Sandy beach
Oct 2021 • Couples
Praia de Faro is a very long sandy beach next to Faro Airport. Access is by a narrow one lane bridge. The beach stretches as far as the eye can see. Excellent

Praya de Faro in Sept.
Sep 2021 • Solo
You can reach Praia de Faro by bus (14 or 16) from Airport or from Faro city and it will cost you 2.35€.
Here at Praia de Faro you can relax along the beach with golden sand or you can have a meal in thd few places that they have.
I will mention that Praia has only a shop and is on the left part of the Praia and seen only a small holiday shop where you can get the gifts for the loved ones.
NB: Praia de Faro is way more expensive than Faro, but a big sandwith would be about 5€ and coffee around 2€.

Water filled with sargassum
Aug 2021 • Friends
Worst beach in Faro. The water was full of sargassum.
I would recommend going to the nearby islands.

Miles of sandy beach
Sep 2020 • Couples
Miles of sandy beaches and the water was warm! Loads of parking and lovely little cafes. Don’t be put off because it’s so close to the airport, well worth a visit if you’re in the area

Very good for being city beach
Aug 2020 • Couples
Very good for being city beach... sun beds and free areas... clean for being next to Faro and directly accessible by car.. free parking on the road and not as crowded as expected

Worth visiting
Mar 2020 • Couples
As we visited Faro in the first days of March it was sometimes cold and windy, so we didn't enter, but I can tell that in hot weather it's good to enjoy the sea.
Not many places to eat nor to do shopping in grocerie store. Most places to eat are pricey and for the past experiences we can't assure price is synonym of quality. The places it would be okay to eat for decent price is the Wax RestoBar (we didn't eat here, but the price and menu looked decent) and Cais 73.
Only few days are enough to experience Faro fully.

Dreadful codfish by the sea

All a bit chaotic, which would be fine, had the food been better. But fish was bad and salads were only ok and service was slow

Warm
Sep 2019
It' always amazing to go back home. This is my beach, since I couldn't even walk.
In the summer, a warm breeze makes you want to swim across the buoys and the hot sun, makes you want to the bistro and eat those amazing fresh baked bread grilled sandwiches and drink a pitcher of beer.
Also in the summer, it will be overcrowded, for sure, as all major hotpoint in Algarve. But in the winter, the swells, the sand and the mist... turn that summer tropical atmosphere in to a romantic spot... Enjoy.

If you cross the road, you have the Ria. (a branch of fresh water), no swells, no waves, just calm and flat. Ideal for children, in the summer have beach soccer/voleyball water sports center, restaurants, lounges, etc. In the winter, all those again, as the never close.

Enjoy Faro's island. It's truly worth the visit.
