We covered this through the boat tour. The island is beautiful and secluded. We had nice lovely way on a round trail. Ate in the only restaurant, it was closing time on Xmas Eve, so we couldnt order fish, but still got decent food. PLEASE PLEASE - keep the thrash with you. There is trash littered around (not a lot,... More

A beautiful, peaceful beach, with one small restaurant, 30 minutes by boat from Faro. Some rough riptide in places.

Took a boat trip from outside the hotel Eva. The boat trip took us around the lagoons to see wildlife and birds and then stopped of on the deserted island for a half an hour or so. The island is so peaceful and has long beaches.

Absolutely impressive island - ocean & sea shells combined with real desert flora! If you like peaceful surroundings and calming atmosphere, then this is specially for you. There is randomly some trash at the seaside, which was disturbing and we collected some of the trash which was left there. Dear visitors, please don't leave any trash there! Let us keep... More

You can go there by speedboat or ferry, it's around 10-15 euros, takes you around 15-20 mins to get there. The island itself has a restaurant with fresh seafood. As we were there in november, it did really feel like a deserted island, but I can imagine in teh summer it's a bit different. Maybe because it was low season,... More

You can reach the island by ferry or boat from Faro. There is a restaurant on the island and nothing else! You can go exploring for hours without seeing another human! The beach is perfect and the water was warm when we went there. Consider bringing food and water if you want to spend the day on the island, or... More

Although a little untidy, great work is being undertaken to return the island to it's former wild state.

As the name says this island is really desert island. There is just one restaurant in the middle, rest of this unique place is just sand and grass. If you want to find some quiet empty beach, here it is. You can get to the island by ferry or the other boats (speedboat, etc.). Ferry is the cheapest one. There... More

I hesitate to say anything about this paradise island for fear that the secret gets out. It's not cheap to visit which is fine as the beaches are immaculate and the sea is pristine. We'll be back.
