Beautiful area with peacocks, hens and other birds everywhere. Nice little tree areas with lovely little benches to relax and drink coffee. Kiosk staff where I brought my coffee are friendly and nice. Yes, as some said it is in need of some loving care but it wasn't that bad at all. I spent a good few hours here watching the birds and drinking coffee. Worth a visit after all it's free.

Lots of features. Peacocks. Play area. Cafe. Water features. Benches. Lots of pigeons. Run down. Pleasant enough to sit for a brief rest.

A medium Plaza with peacocks living there. Very simple but interesting to see these beautiful birds. There must be at least 12 peacocks there. But this is it.

Alameda João de Dues Garden is a small park in Faro. It looks like it would benefit from a bit of a makeover but is a nice place to walk and admire the peacocks.

A nice place for children to go.
Lovely to see so many Peacock with chicks.
Cafe available there
Children can feed pigeons
Some of the animals in the cages / pens need some attention; they look neglected and there is little comfort for them which is very sad

Nice little park, yes, it could do with more maintenance, but it has lots of peacocks (and babies) when we came, a little stone seating area where pigeon feeding was going on from a visitor, and a little pool with terrapins in, there are a few cages with doves/pigeons in, not sure why unless they are being bred. Please note the map is incorrect, I have tried to inform trip advisor, this park is actually nearer to the main police station and Alameda restaurant.

This is a lovely park, but I give it a poor rating. This is because, unfortunately, there are some sad little birds in cages, who appear to have been forgotten. While I am sure this is not the case, they have not left my mind. As I walked by, they stood at the edge of the prison cells … waiting.
Surely their captivity is unnecessary and adds nothing (in fact takes away) from the enjoyment of walking around the park… free them! Maybe they will make their home in the park, and survive nicely. Or maybe they will fly away and live a short life of freedom. But is it not better to live a short life in freedom, than a long life in captivity?

Found this place of interest via Google Maps. Pleasantly suprised. They have FREE mini golf 😊 arrive before 12 as it shuts at that time (so we couldn't finish the final 2 holes). The peacocks are really cool just wandering around. Interesting geriatric gym and cute benches and fountains. Great to spend an hour walking there in the warm midmorning to enjoy the mini golf. The architecture en route is beautiful too - love the tiled walls 😊

Very beautiful place for a walk, lots of pigeons to feed. Few peacocks are walking freely and they are gorgeous :)

Near to our accommodation we visited this park in the late winter sun, a few families and couples, warm enough to take a drink outdoors, well designed and even has peacocks roaming freely. Big shame about the attititude to caged animals though- and give the public bathrooms a big miss too.
