Beautiful beach...
Sep 2020
This beach is about a 20 minute walk from Carvoeiro along the road. Beautiful clean sand and it’s great to watch the rollers coming in but watch out as they can take you by surprise and you could end up getting wet towels when they crash up onto the beach as the high tide comes in. Take a sun shade as you’ll need it as no shady areas in the day. Lovely views of the cliffs and would definitely recommend the beach bar at the entrance. A fabulous day out.

Beautiful and unspoilt beach

You can easily walk to this beach along the coastal path from Carvoeiro or Rocha Brava, it's not too far. It's also accessible by car, and there's a bus stop just up the hill so you'd think it would be busier. There is a cafe here in the season but it was closed this week. The boat tours of the caves run from here sometimes if the weather is good.

Beware the Rollers!

Lovely sandy beach with a wide range of bars locally. Like most Portuguese beaches the surf is powerful so take care of young kids!

Fantastic beach
Oct 2019 • Family
This beach is fantastic. Beautiful beach surrounded by high cliffs. The sand is so clean and pure. The sea is quite rough, so you need to be very careful if you have young children with you. There a number of steps down to the beach, so if you have difficultly walking you will struggle to access this beach

A short walk from the hotel & your on the beach a few steps but well worth it, clear water & sandy beach, with activities if you want to, very clean & not to crowded. Definitely go on the boat trip well worth the money.

Beautiful

Love this little beach, nvr to over crowded a bar and toilets that are near, Sea always choppy and as the day goes on the tide comes in which can be amusing if you are still sunbathing, Activities going on, umbrellas to hire, caves to explore if tide is out, truly perfect & worth the visit.

Great beach and not as busy as some others
Aug 2019
Quite accessible with close parking, free toilets and a bar.
Lovely beach and not as busy as some with good sand and a calmer sea.
But the best part was that it was the booking/starting point of the Centeanes Boat Trip which was brilliant!

Great beach with cafe and toilets (though toilets are pretty basic).
Beach is lovely sand. Check tide times as not a lot of beach when fully in.
Depending on tide, it may expose some rocks when paddling but on the whole it's sandy.
Life guards on watch and pedaloes, boat trips, canoes a plenty though expensive.
Get a chap selling doughnuts on beach which are delicious.
Sea is generally safe to swim in.
Occasionally you get big waves which will knock over adults if you catch them at the wrong time. Exciting and scary! Only had these once in 2 weeks though.
