We had a splendid private walking tour of old Evora on a Sunday spring morning before most folks were up and about. Our guide, one Jones Fernandes, was as colorful as this old city. Of the three walking tours we’ve had in this lovely country, this was our favorite, due mostly to the witty and personable Herr Jones. He was extremely knowledgeable about the city and its environs, and he showed us all its very best. If you want to book a cultural history lesson while you stroll these historic streets, give old Jones a call. It’s worth your while.

This guided walking tour by our guide Paulo, was the highlight of our trip to Evora! His knowledge of the history, architecture, and even plants in the city was truly impressive. (His background is biology and geology). His passion and love for Evora was evident. He was very friendly and answered all our questions. My husband and I throughly enjoyed our tour with him. Unfortunately my husband was unable to finish the tour as he was feeling ill and was disappointed about that (especially missing the wine tasting). I enjoyed the wine tasting and snacks provided at the end of the tour at the Ervideira Wine Shop. We highly recommend Paulo and the Evora Cultural Experience. You will not be disappointed.

We had a 2 hour walking tour with Paulo. Really enjoyed the experience and learning about Évora in the limited time we had in the city, managing to see main attractions. Paulo was really knowledgeable about the history of the region and we leaned a few interesting new facts! All in all great value and well worth it.

We did 3 tours total. 2 we had Elsa as our guide. She was amazing! So knowledgeable about the history of the area. My mom and I really enjoyed our trip and these tours were a highlight! We highly recommend these tours as they are small and more personable. We had a wonderful time.

We had a wonderful tour of Evora. Paulo was fabulous and we really enjoyed our time with him. He gave us a great historical perspective of not only Evora, but Portugal as well. The whole family enjoyed it and he even showed us where to have a great lunch.

I’m a history nerd and Paulo is one of the most knowledgeable guides that I have ever had. I cannot recommend this experience highly enough. It brought the historic city of Evora to life.

Day tour from Lisbon with Bruno Guerra. We were in Portugal 7 days and this was the highlight of our stay. Bruno the best no questions asked! Also used him Sintra day trip and Lisbon.
Knows history, gives details, stories, is flexible, kind and fun.

We decided to have the tour with lunch and wine tasting as well as visits the various landmarks in Evora. Paulo was a very knowledgeable tour guide and very engaging. We learned a lot on this tour and were able to see and witness the history of Evora. The wine tasting was excellent and the food was great.

Absolutely the best way to experience Evora very educational and friendly. We arrived knowing very little and left with an understanding of the layers of history this city has seen.

We had a private tour for a reasonable rate booked online. Paulo met us at the hotel and was extremely knowledgable and informative. The weather was a challenge that day and it was unfortunately cold proceeding into raining and cold for most of the tour.

Should have taken the extra umbrella at the hotel instead of relying on the weather report.

In light of this Paulo did his best to keep us out of the weather as much as possible as we proceeded and stretched certain portions to make the best use of time. Traveling wtih an official guide greatly helps in this regard as access was well know and fast for all stops.

Particularly enjoyed the wine tasting which was extremely free form around what we'd like to try and they have some very unique offerings. Based on that part of the experience I would like to try some of their culinary offerings.

Would love to tour with the company and Paulo again hopefully under better weather conditions in the future.
