I am not an art fan but we decided to visit because it was included in the price of our tickets for the Cathedral. Was ok but not something I would otherwise visit.

This museum is poor. Most of the items could have / should have been included in the regular visit rather than offered at an extra charge. The museum is quite small, there are virtually no descriptions, and the artwork is far from spectacular.

As part of the cathedral tour the museum provided some great detail as well as artefacts from the different periods. Paintings, vestments, sculpture and more.

Lots of stuff here, but none of it is very memorable and the display is a hodgepodge, so we rushed through it. Not worth a lot of time, but OK

I purchased tickets that allowed me to visit all of the Cathedral complex - including this little gem. Even though there were very few visitors I was directed to start upstairs and follow a specific viewing route. Well worth adding to your Se stop. Also,...More

Visit this by including it in the entry ticket for the Cathedral. It's a substantial collection of religious art, much of which is fascinating, but the highlight is the "folding virgin" - a statuette of the Virgin Mary which opens to reveal beautiful carved scenes...More

The museum is included within the Évora Cathedral complex and includes an impressive sacred art collection. Highly recommended for anyone with an interest in history, whether or not your religious.

Loved the reliquary with 1000+ gems and ivory Mary statue. The space is made up of monks' rooms, making it an interesting place to view art work.

Maybe I'm just growing tired of sacred art but i really didn't find this museum that special. The collection isn't that large, comprehensive or special. Just another sacred art museum.

Many wonderful pieces from different periods, well kept, in a good site. Religious objects, statues, paintings of rare beauty and exceptional quality. Worth going, not to miss!
