We were looking for the Roman ruins and came upon this charming little park by mistake. It has a lovely view away from the city and some nice benches to sit and enjoy the area.

This garden is right across from the roman temple and it has a beautiful view of the city. Stopping here is great for when you want to take a break or have a snack. We got up earlier one day to watch the sunrise here...More

A small park filled with flowerbeds with views of the roman temple one way and views over the wall to the Alentejo countryside the other way. A perfect spot to take in the sunset and marvel at the wonders Evora has to offer

This very pretty square is one of the centers of town and you will probably come here. Unfortunately the fabulous Roman ruin was covered for restoration while we were there. Cafes and museums surround.

If you're looking to take a break after walking through Evora there aren't too many better spots that this garden. Most of the benches are shaded and have great views of the temple. You're also perched high on top of Evora's outer wall.

This tranquil little garden is behind the ruins of the roman temple. The view of the plains north of Evora is quite nice from here. On the west side of the garden is an impressive historical building with two coat of arms in stone, nowadays...More

Nice for a break - there is a cafeteria inside - and also I saw at least 10 peacocks too - making a lot of noise as they do but also part showing off their beautiful feathers.

If you go to the Roman Temple, your next logical stop is the Garden of Diana, adjacent to it. Small but beautiful with park benches for contemplation, there are gardens and statuary commisssioned (I think) by the town. Modern and traditional statues. Our local guide...More
