Nice and warm people will help you planning wine tours and will give you a lot of information. As wine nuts we spent almost 90 minutes tasting some wines (no charge at all and around 16 kinds of white, rose and red wine) and having consistent info about Portuguese grapes that are poorly known outside the country. We also got... More

We went there on a Saturday around noon and the place looked closed (no lights on), but there was one women in the back. We wanted an intro to the region and some suggestions on which vineyards to go to on our way to Lago from Lisbon (this place was recommended by the wine tourism website of the region). The... More

This place was recommended by the Evora Tourism office. We were greeted promptly (french and english) and after explaining what we wanted to do she recommended 3-4 quintas or adegas. Furthermore she strongly recommended a producer that happen to be in the store and she booked an appointment for us. All in all we had a personalized tour that was... More

Thus wine info center is in the middle of town right by the large underground parking garage. There is a nice exhibit about the various grapes grown as well as the different DOC regions. To get to taste 5 to 6 different wines. They rotate the wines weekly and there is a nice selection of white, rose and red. If... More

You can try 6 wines, there is a small exhibition on Alentejan grapes and wines, and you can buy the wines at a really good price. The man attending us found a great way to occupy our kids while we tasted the wines. The visit won't last more than 30-40 minutes, it isn't a professional wine tasting session, but its... More

As wine enthusiasts from New Zealand we were pleasantly surprised when the information centre at Evora sent us to the 'root of wine' which is an information centre about the wines of Alentejo ( there was no restaurant we could see). The concept and information available and the wine tasting was superb, but the woman manning the centre was not... More

PortugalTrails recommended and booked a jeep tour and lunch here. They claimed that many of their clients said it was the highlight of their trip. Well not for us. If you're a wine connoisseur then maybe as it was more wine tour, tasting and a lunch with wine pairings with a quick tour in a truck around the property. We... More

Quite simply GO and visit. We had a tour and wine tasting experience followed by a lunch with the menu and matching wines chosen by the chef. From start to finish this was a truly memorable visit. The staff were well versed and could not do enough to help. Well done to all concerned.
