solid wine shop with very pleasant employee

solid place, very nice gal running the place; we bought the 4 wine tasting. The whites were OK; nothing I would write home about; the reds were solid. We bought some corkscrews which incidentally after flying from Lisbon to Dulles without a problem were confiscated by the good old TSA when transiting to our domestic flight. I guess the logic that we'd flown all the way from Lisbon to Dulles without pulling out the 1" knife on the corkscrew and hijacking the plane was lost on the TSA guy. Just sayin...

But anyway, I digress. A worthwhile and nice way to sample 4 local wines. Recommended.

My wife and I stopped in for a tasting after a city walk. There were 3 people in the tasting room, one may have been a worker. I was told that they were closed. It was 6 pm and i then said, "I thought that you were open to 7?" She proceeded to say that yes, they were opened to 7, but she was busy in the tasting room and they were closed. Now, a $3 tasting is not what i would consider high end. They should have been happy if a bus load showed up at 6:55 pm.

I am not sure what nectar of the gods that could have been serving, or maybe it was someone working for Bill Gates having the tasting, that could have precipitated not allowing 2 additional adults to sample their offerings.

Had a wonderful tasting at this family run winery. All the wines were delicious and of exceptional quality for the price. Isabella our guide was generous in sharing information about the winery and the wines we tasted. One of our best wine experiences in Portugal. A must see in Évora

Great time, great Wine

We had talked with Caterina earlier in the day and found out she had an appointment at 5:00pm, so we came at 4:00pm. Plenty of time.
Caterina was very patient and informative on the wines of Ervideira. We started out with the 1st- white Invisivel, very light, but with a lot of flavor.
2nd-Conde Reserva Bronco- more flavor, and a bit more flavor
3rd- Prova de Vinhos Premium- fruit-forward full bodied red, smooth ending
Asked for another red that she liked. Tired the Bio Ervideira Nature
We bought 1 bottle of each of these wines, with the Bio to bring home to age.
All wines were delicious and Caterina did a great job in steering us in the right direction Very easy to find, great location and great hostess explaining the wines. I would make a reservation if you plan on going.

Wonderful tastings and wine

Two of us arranged for a wine tasting (often scheduled every half hour) and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the three whites, one rose and two reds that we sampled. Our server was really pleasant and informative. We ended up purchasing two white and two red wines and a vacuum stopper. Sadly, these wines are not available in Canada.

We stopped in for a tasting as part of a tour. That said, we would certainly recommend a visit for the tasting, or just to pick up a nice bottle or two of wine. Good variety, very informative.

We had a wonderful wine tasting with light snacks as a surprise, organized by our tour guide in celebration of our upcoming wedding anniversary! The lady helping us was extremely friendly and knowledgable about the delicious wines and we only regret that they're not sold in the US!

Very good tasting

Even though there is a small cover charge for the wine tasting, its well worth it. The presenter, Sandra, is full off life and provides great information on each of the wines sampled. A good selection of wines to try and purchase as well as a very good range of souvenirs.
