Beautiful spire

Beautiful old church, (dating from the 12th Century), with a lovely peaceful atmosphere. Being so old there is so much to see with some interesting stain glass window and wealthy local family tombs.

Lovely old church

This is a lovely church to visit and there are sometimes events going on.
The spire can be seen from walking over the marshes too.
Very old inside and the grounds are amazing a good walk around with some old graves

Church locked
Apr 2019 • Couples
We were disappointed to find the church locked with no notice re key holder or opening times. Only parking available was in expensive pay and display car park

Very disappointing
Oct 2018 • Couples
This church has a notice claiming to be open each day until three o'clock. We called on successive days at about half-past two, hoping to see inside, but on both occasions the door was locked, plus a notice on the door saying that the church was closed. We accept that churches cannot always be open but if they advertise themselves as being open at certain times, then the visitor has the right to expect them to be open at those times. Consequently, we had to satisfy ourselves with a cursory look at the outside.

Lovely Tranquil visit

We were not sure if the church was open but glad we tried the door as inside revealed a lot of history. We spent about 30 mins looking around and reading information. If you visit Nunwell House and Gardens the Oglander family have strong connections to both.

Interesting stop in
Aug 2017 • Couples
For a church which is open free to the public, it's an interesting place to stop in and have a look. Wouldn't go out my way particularly to view it, but look in if you're in Brading

Pop in. You won't be disappointed. Loads of local history going back to 11th century. Lovely stained glass and interesting side chapel.

Beautiful stained glass windows and a charming church. Wish we could have attended a service at the church, but delightful to find it open and accessible

Beautiful old church

Beautiful old church in the centre of this small town on the Island. Easy parking nearby, well worth a look round and take in the history. Very historic part of the town next to the Old Town Hall. Then perhaps pop next door to the Rectory Mansion and have a tea!

We visited during a flower festival. Very peaceful. Always interesting to read the dedications around the walls to old familys.
