if you are staying in Ypres make sure you pop along here just by The Lille Gate and spend a few minutes of reflection.

This little cemetery is quiet and peaceful. It is well maintained and a fitting resting place for the soldiers who lie there. For a little bit of solitude and quiet, it's worth walking through on a walk around the ramparts.

Pretty cemetery near the Lille gate at Ypres next to the river, not easily accessible from the road, leads to a nice walk along the ramparts to the Menin Gate

This cemetery is readily accessed from Ypres. It is beautifully maintained and has the graves of soldiers from many nations. It has been kind of the people of Belgium to gift this land for our lost relatives.

This small beautiful cemetery lies on the old defence walls surrounding Ypres. It touches the shores of the water, resulting in a wonderful and peaceful scenery.

Walk along the city walls from Menin Gate, the woodlands and you will come across the ramparts cemetery. you cannot help but be moved by this.

It is hard to envisage the conditions and the reason why the Cemetery is here because of the peaceful surrounds ... spend time getting to know the soldiers and refect upon their sacrifice ... afterwards take a reflective, peaceful walk back to Menin Gate ......More
