We booked this tour for 5 of us on a reccomendation from others We did it on a Sunday and meet at the shop. Parking was easy just a street by the side of shop free all day on a Sunday we did the last Post later in the evening.I can only spk on the Guide we had (Andre) owner of the tour he was Excellent His Knowledge is amazing and you can see how passionate he is when he speaks to you. This man is so dedicated to it, he lists dates and even down to certain days of things happening. We all had various questions we asked at various times we found Andre very approachable , and he had answers for all. We found him very Helpful he never once ignored us only ever helped us. We were particularly intrested in finding a few names and from a certain regiment (The Warwickshires) he went out of his way to help us find these. We did the morning tour and can seriously reccomend it ok its 40 euros each half price for Kids under 12 but it would be pointless doing it without him. Hill 62 is an additional 4 euros but well worth it the artifacts there are second to none. Will be returning again one day to do the afternoon tour and will certainly be using Over the Top tours.

Andre was very knowledgeable and I suggest his morning Salient tour provides an excellent introduction and summary to the three Ypres battles 1914 15 and 17. Certainly would recommend. The tour starts at Andre's book shop - right by the Menai Gate.

We happened to do the north salient tour on a morning when a highly knowledgeable and personable young guide, Simon, had been called in as a replacement to the usual. Simon made this tour a fascinating insight into the lives of a range of soldiers who he shared stories about. We had an exceptional experience and left the tour feeling in awe of the passion and knowledge of a young local. A couple of points that the tour operator could improve would be the minibus (locks jammed on several occasions) and availability of both refreshments and toilets.

we booked this before we went but on arr we went to the shop to see where the tour goes from and met andre and looked around his great shop full of books and everything you might need . the location of the shop is next to the menin gate great location to visit either place . we met andre on the morning of our tour 0930 and went off on the tour which takes in not just various british burial grounds but a german site as well and most interesting some stop at farms to see shells grenades etc dug up by farmers that get collected in by authorities . tyne cot cemetery is the biggest burial ground site that is visited and a must !!!. andre vast depth of information was superb and we never felt at anytime rushed around . great tour great info and would only book through andre again if we return . also visit the shop its superb
