The environment is very nice, in all seasons. Towers can be visited during art exhibitions. It's a good starting point for nice walks along the river Leie, or to visit the old city center with very nice old buildings and churches and carfree shopping streets....More
Rather a grand looking monument seen on a walk alongside the canal. After a few photographs there is nothing else, as it appears to be turned into private apartments. Was expecting to be able to go inside.
Fully restored these medieval towers guard the old bridge close to where the 1307 Battle of The Golden Spurs was fought. Not a lot to see but much more to feel. Walking the steps in their circular course and peering through the arrow slits it...More
Kortrijk is a very pleasant little town that is an easy side trip from places in Belgium or from Lille. The walk through the town from the station revealed some interesting architecture, topped by the view along the river to the Broel Towers.
