Fantastic little museum, who doesn't like to know about medieval warfare and French defeats! Great exhibits even a little dressing up! I thought the audio guide was very good and the film at the end most informative. Quite difficult to find, there may have been more people there if the signage was better!

The people of Kortrijk are quite nice. We had trouble finding the museum of Kortrijk 1302. We asked a couple and they did their best to tell us in Flemish how to get there. They followed us and pointed at the museum when it was in sight. I was astonished when they refused our money to get into this museum.... More

This delightful museum, commemorating the eponymous early 14th century battle in which the Flems routed the pride of the French army, has superb, audio-visual support in the language of your choice. Situated in Kortrijk Centrum and competitively priced, it is well worth a visit.

There is very little to see in this museum, and the audio guide, which is rather necessary as there really is little to see, is long-winded and not particularly good. The museum tries to explain and analyse the reasons for the war between the count, the burghers and the king of France, and focusses on the battle of the guilded... More

Kortrijk 1302 explains to the visitor how Belgium became the country that it is today. With its' distinct north/south divide or flemish/french.

This museum is centered on the epic Flemish victory over the French knights' army, near Kortrijk, in 1302. The museum tells all about the background and it shows many items related to the battle, particularly weapons, spurs, sculptures of important people, and depictions of the battle. Most of this is displayed in one large room and a corridor. A movie... More

In a quietful park next to the most important places in Kortrijk. One is reorganising the museums in Kortrijk. So the museum Kortrijk 1302 is changing and will be better and more interesting in the coming years. The visit will not take time. Normally you have to pay something.

For those who like History, it is not to miss! A modern museum who explains the causes and consequences of the battles between the Flemish and the French, something like "David against Golliah" . Great! There are also activities for children.

an interesting museum if you want to know everything - or almost everything about the battle of 1302. For Flemish people this an iconic date, for in their long battle for rights and freedom, this was the date that they at least one time were victorious against the French nobility army. You see the arms they used, the way they... More
