When we booked our trip to Bruges, we planned to visit an underknown historic city with a great set of beer options. We didn't realize we'd miss opening night of a major movie, and Kinepolis kept that from happening. Modern, brightly lit lobby, a 10 minute intermission added into the movie, and a cafe in the back.

I visited this cinema yesterday to see a showing of 'Victoria and Abdul' the film was excellent. However, I had the strangest experience whilst watching the film. The film had been playing for 20 mins and the lights were off when an elderly gentleman came into the theatre and was looking around for a free seat (the performance was very very busy and the only available seats were down at the front) I was seated in an end chair one row up from the ground level. The gentleman entered the dark auditorium alone, he approached me and leaned over me putting his face within inches of mine and stared at me he did this twice the second time he said something to me in French which I apologised and told him I didn't understand. He obviously wanted my seat and when I didn't get up he just proceeded to sit in my knee, I politely but firmly told him 'No' the man In front of me then very kindly got off his seat to help me after hearing my situation and took him by the arm and put him in a free seat nearer the front. I did not report this to the staff but feel I should have. After thinking about it this could have been avoided if the member of staff who checked my ticket at the door had accompanied anyone entering after the lights were tuned off with a torch to fInd a free chair. I was very dissapointed. The cinema was clean and tidy but please be aware that there is a 0.40 charge to use the toilets.
