This was an interesting museum, fascinating, informative and a bit of a treat. Well I thought so but it is not everyone's cup of tea. My son definitely didn't think so, but he is at that age where nothing is cool unless it is on...More

Yes this museum is in Dutch, and thus quite difficult to understand if you do not speak the language. Especially since the museum is dedicated to the famous writer and poet Guido Gezelle and thus is all about words. But there are many reasons to...More

This is a small museum and garden out towards the Sint-Janshuismolen. There is much detail and displays regarding the poet Guido Gezelle (1830- 1899). The garden is a nice exhibit of old style technologies and thinking.

Although I 'm familiar with his poems, all written in that typical flemish slang of 1900, I'm wondering what can be a added value for foreign tourist. The garden is a great place and was formally used to dry the blankets in the field.
