We had a fabulous bike ride with Mieke from Bruges to Damme. Really pretty ride along the banks of a canal. Neither my husband nor I are regular cyclists so we were glad it was very flat and Mieke was very careful to keep a watchful eye wherever there was any traffic which wasn’t often - only as we left Bruges. She was a mine of interesting information and we stopped to look at windmills and nesting storks and the oldest cafe in Bruges - amongst other things. It was a great way to escape the weekend crowds in Bruges and get truly off the beaten track.

We booked this tour as a last minute plan, and so pleased Mika was able to accommodate us. We loved every minute of the experience, riding through the picturesque streets leading out of Brugge into the countryside to Damme, another beautiful town full of history and stories to go with it. We were able to enjoy other parts of Brugge you wouldn’t see on foot. Mika has a wonderful sense of humour, made the tour interesting and fun.

A delightful, easy, safe, & informative bike ride through the back streets of Bruges and nearby town. Meike, our guide, was friendly & knowledgeable. She included historical, local culture, and wildlife information along the way.

Excellent tour! Mieke took her time answering our questions and her information is not the same was the walking tours nor the in-town-bike tours.
The bike ride to Damme through the countryside was easy, picturesque, and relaxing.
We learned a lot in our 3 hours with her and we stopped plenty of times. Her English is excellent and she knows history that others do not. She also knows where the best photo opportunities are.
We had a sunny day, so it was ideal. The bikes are a short walk from the Belfort Tower Square. She will provide an option small bike “basket bag” if you want to store your camera and a bottle of water in it.
When in Damme, she gave us the option of stopping for a coffee/beer/drink, but we kept on. Damme was beautiful and we loved stopping at the windmill, old church, cemetery, cow pastures, and canal. It’s definitely worth the money and time to book with her!

Our ride to Damme was amazing! Mieke started the ride by first making sure that everyone's bike was a good fit for the trip. She knew where the best photo stops were, and gave great information about the area around us.
I would strongly recommend this tour, it was one my favorite experiences from my trip to Belgium!

Mieke was an excellent tour guide — funny, knowledgeable, and engaging. She crafted a great trip for us out to Damme and through Bruges. We also took some nice pictures at stops along the way (beautiful fields, a medieval church, bridges over the canal). Our group of five had a great time, and I’d strongly recommend Pink Bear!

I booked this a couple of days prior to visiting Brugges. I had a quick response and booking with Mieke via email. We met at the Bell Tower and collected our Bikes close to the centre. Mieke was really friendly, patient, knowledgeable and funny.
We cycled through the centre and into the countryside to Damme. Lots of interesting facts and history and visited spots we definately wouldn't have seen unless on this experience.
Really glad we did this and would recommend - approx 3 and half hours
Thank you Mieke

Had a brilliant morning riding some of the less tourist filled streets. Out into the countryside and Windmills galore. Lots of great local information. Perfect way to spend a relaxed ride and see parts of the area you perhaps may not normally see

We have just came back from belgium from a great holiday. We found out about the pink bear bike tours via a tour guide book and their leaflet in our hotels reception. This bike tour is great as you cycle in the countryside from bruges and go out to a village called damme. We stoped in a lovely reastraunt and they gave us the chance to taste belgiums famous beer and wuffles. Although it was raining the tour gide ( a bruges woman full of great facts) gave us rain coats and cheered us up with indepth storys about the area as we cycled. I would recommend this to any one who is visiting bruges its great. The bikes are of the mountian bike type with gears and a comfortable sprung seat (all bikes named after the simpsons great for the kids) all sizes of bikes avaliable

This tour was disappoint in many aspects, but I will start with the positive.
The bike ride to Damme is beautiful and the town is well worth visiting. I highly recommend following the canal out to Damme and back on a bike you rent yourself.
Having gone on the tour and read the 1 star reviews, I can tell you I am not surprised. Here are some of the negatives:
- We had a brochure from our B&B that said 19 euros, she charged us 25 euros, even after showing her the brochure, she still charged us the full amount and laughed at how "old" the one we had was. This was a 15 euro tour at best.
- Upon arrival for the tour she informed us that she had a family gathering that night and she was going to skip the food and drink stop in Damme. This tour turned out to last for about 2.5 hours... again not worth 25 euros.
- The tour guide was awkward and not very informative
- This wasn't a tour, it was a bike ride from place-to-place with little information. I just happened to cost more than a bike rental.
I could go on, but you get the idea. My wife and I take walking and biking tours all over Europe; I am sorry to say this is definitely, without a shadow of a doubt, the worst tour we have taken.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, find an alternative option.
P.S. No idea what they mean by the Pink Bear?!? There is zero reference to this EVER.

Peut-on louer des vélos à la journée ? Et les itinéraires à emprunter autour de Knokke sont-ils plats ou bien très vallonnés ?; Nous sommes deux grands-parents avec 2 ados de 14 et 16 ans. Merci de votre réponse. Cordialement. PS quels sont les prix de location ?
Trying to make a booking but it all seems very difficult . Can you help please?

Hi, I did this tour in August. I booked it through the Tourist Information Centre at the Bruggge Historium in the market square. They rang and booked it for me. The tour won't run though unless there are 3 people. It was well worth it.
