I was in this shop with my girlfriend on the occasion of a day in Brugge. The small restaurant is located in a small street in the historic center. The interior is not very large but the space is designed to display a lot of chocolate products. We bought chocolate covered waffles and cubes with stick, like lollipops, to create the hot chocolate. During our visit we were offered pieces of a tablet and a map of the city with the recommended route to see the most important monuments.

We were taken to this tiny chocolate shop off the main streets by our Free Legend Tour guide and offered a discount. It was absolutely worth it. Initially we weren’t sure as there are literally loads of chocolate shops everywhere in Bruges. But after trying chocolate in many other places we returned to Pur Chocolate. The lady who was selling the chocolates was very polite and helpful. Yes, she asked kindly if we could pay cash, but there was no problem when we chose the card payment. Every piece of chocolate we tried there was always so fresh and tasty. I think this little place definitely deserves more attention.

There aren’t dozens of chocolate shop fronts in Bruges, there are literally hundreds. We have spent the last 6 days here, on top of a visit last year and the number seems to keep going. Probably along with the tourist numbers. Many have the most impressive displays & claims. But unless you’re in a hurry, or don’t really care, try not to buy at the first that you visit. Taste is a personal thing - but you’re probably not going to find bad chocolate. Find somewhere that feels right, looks right and is priced kinda right (none are inexpensive). This one, among others works for us. Yes, they have their banter down perfectly, but do they should. They see thousands of tourists every week of every year. Go with your gut. This we think is one of the better - but there isn’t a best!

We saw this place and so glad we went in. It felt like a local "mom & pop" shop. It was a bit before 10am so the street is still pretty empty. The Chocolatier was there manning the shop. He was very nice and courteous. We all bought many boxes of chocolates and they all taste soooo good!!!

This is quite frankly the best chocolate ever. Unlike some chocolate, where you can eat loads, this is delicious but a couple at a time is enough. I went into the shop out of curiosity, having just bought gifts in another chocolate shop. I couldn't resist buying these as they are beyond delicious. My little treat when I get home from my stressful day.

Good taste, sadly you don’t get what you pay for, the sign tells you get 18 pieces for €12 what equals to 250 grams, this isn’t reality, you get a maximum of 250 grams even though you don’t have 18 pieces yet.

Without a doubt, collaborating with the Pur chocolate shop is one of the most satisfying experiences we could have. A chocolate shop, with exceptional quality in the product offered. You can see the passion in the preparation and the pleasure in making chocolate.
The unbeatable service, friendliness, warmth and very good price.
If you walk through Bruges, an inevitable stop. And if you join our tours, we'll take you to try a truffle. What are you waiting for.

The truffles were the best. It was my second visit to Bruges Pur Chocolat and I made it a point to go buy multiple boxes. It was full of tourists was told I couldn’t be helped till the tour group were all cashed out at the register.before I could pay. So I waited about 10 minutes in front of the register to pay. since this was a priority stop for me I was disappointed in the service I received.

I am not a truffles guy but when I tried the samplers (yes I had a couple!) I was hooked. The rest is history. We bought truffles, walked around Bruges, and decided to go back and buy a couple of bar chocolates. This chocolate store is great find!

Absolutely the BEST chocolate in Bruges. Walk pass any other chocolate shop.
Visited Pur Chocolate 5 years ago (2017), and returned this November 2022, and it's just as fabulous.
Friendly customer service samples freely given.

Went to Bruges on a mini cruise from Hull as birthday treat . We went in to so many chocolate shops but we came back to Pur as it was the one that had the best looking and tasting chocolate I had tasted.
Everything you imagine chocolate to be , rich , dark, smooth and delicious. So glad I brought back lots .

Bruges is a chocolate lovers paradise and this shop is heaven, can't comment if it's the best in Bruges as it's the only shop we bought from as couldn't imagine it could be beaten , once we tasted the chocolate we didn't bother trying any others. The truffles are amazing. Lovely friendly staff and great selection.

It was by complete chance, during a trip to Bruges last week, that my boyfriend and I happened to stumble across this delightful family run, been going 50 years, chocolatier. We were warmly welcomed by the lovely Tamara (she's super lovely, not to mention beautiful). She didn't rush us and asked us to help ourselves to a taster (complimentary espresso truffle - it was so good I ended up buying a bag for just €10!). We bought some chocolates to take away. They were ALL so good we returned the next day to buy several boxes of assorted chocolates for friends and family. Makes you realise just how terrible much of the chocolate we eat here is! (UK). Many of the chocolate shops in Bruges can be pretty tacky with bums and boobs on display...but not here. The range was fantastic and very reasonably priced. If you're heading to Brugge...don't miss out!
