Really wanted to visit as seen some great reviews but sadly shut each night of weekend trip in early September. Both Saturday and Sunday night's. Shame.

Sadly, as posted by a previous visitor, the lights were off and nobody was there on this Tuesday evening at 8 pm. So had a lovely dinner next door at an italian restaurant.

We were in Brugge for 4 days and my son who is 20 Googled bars and this came up as great, we tried for 4 days on the trot but it was closed every night. Very disappointing as every other bar we googled was open and we loved every one of them with great beer and a great atmosphere. Sorry but you can’t run a business like this and if I’m back in Brugge I won’t be visiting 😫

The Druid’s Cellar is absolutely the BEST pub that we visited in Bruges! The owner Drew is amazing!! He welcomed us immediately and his kind spirit is evident from the moment you meet him. We loved the ambiance of the Druid’s Cellar. It is filled with nostalgia that soothes the soul. Drew introduced me to the wonderful Irish Mist and I will be devoted to it for life! We met and became friends with people from all over the world. We will be visiting Bruges again on Oct 23-26 and we plan on spending every night in our favorite pub! You MUST visit this incredible place when you visit Bruges. You’ll be sure to make memories that last a lifetime!

The Manager/ Owner Drew, makes everyone welcome. He treats the cellar pub like his home and only allows friendly folk to enjoy his pub and he makes you feel as if you were a friend in his home.

I specifically researched alternative bars and pubs in Bruges before our holiday and when I came across Druid's Cellar it seemed right up my street. We tried going there for the first time a couple of days after our arrival. It took us absolute ages to find - while I understand it's in an actual cellar, a sign that isn't almost completely hidden behind the staircase barrier would be nice. And when we did find it, it was shut (about an hour before closing time). We tried again 3 days later, making sure we went in early enough and it was finally open. We went downstairs and something immediately didn't feel right. Cold, completely devoid of atmosphere and character, with depressing indie music playing in the background. We paid €5 for our glass of water and a glass of coke (which somehow took a good 10 minutes to arrive, and we didn't even get the original bottles with our glasses) and proceeded to find a seat that wasn't terribly uncomfortable. Upon finding one, we could have a proper look at the place. It was very dimly lit but not in a cosy kind of way. It was littered with completely random decor items, posters and beer ads. I think that the concept was to make it look like an actual messy cellar but I would honestly rather have drank my water in an actual cellar than this horrifying, disturbing place. On Google it seemed like a lovely Pagan / Celtic / Alternative pub with great music but it was none of that. The building itself is beautiful but 80% of it is covered with unnecessary tacky items. It has such a potential to be a great pub with lots of atmosphere but someone simply murdered it. We finished our drinks as quickly as we could just so we could leave. A complete waste of time and money.

Two full days spent in Bruges, and this Irishman thought he'd give it a visit.
However, it's been closed throughout my stay. A Sunday and Monday.
Tis a bit embarrassing to see an Irish Bar closed!

Turned up at 2130, advertised as open until midnight on a Tuesday. Locked up, no signs stating why closed and no signs of life. Spent the night in delayneys, bruges other "Irish" bar which is anything but

Visited Bruge for 3 days recently and ended up in here every night. Cosy, snug and great feel about the place. An Irish Belgian beer bar doesn’t work in theory but this did, the credit going to the proprietor “Drew”. He was running the place single handed when we were visiting and even fitted the place out himself apparently when he took it on. Live music on the Friday with a couple of lads expertly covering classic rock tracks at a perfect volume - loud enough to hear but not deafening as some pub bands unfortunately crank their amps to 11. I was interested in the Belgian beers but anyone after Irish pub experience will be happy here. Cheers Drew, hope to be back in the not too distant future!

Online it said they'd be open. Arrived there to this - no clear indications of opening times so we're not going to go out of our way to go again as it feels like a waste of time!
