Le Trappiste is located 5 minutes' walk from the Markt on Kuipersstraat just behind the theatre and is a very lively, well lit cellar bar with amazing brick vaulted ceilings and plenty of seating. As with most of the bars in Bruges, the range of...More

This was by far our fave bar in Bruges. It is a lovely warm and quirky building, the bar is down a few steps to a cellar. There was a good atmosphere, varied mix of ages and the music was really good. We ordered the...More

A very charismatic bar, just a two minute walk from the Grote Markt in Brugge. Located down a few steps, in a quirky and noisy, (more about that later), cellar it has a veritable encyclopaedia of beers. It really is up there in the “Premier...More

Stopped in for a quick drink while in Bruges. Kids were allowed, facilities were clean, beer was delicious and there were plenty to choose from. A must see place for those who enjoy a delicious Belgian beer and history.

Greeted by a rude member of staff who accused us (ages 45,44,23 and 24)of causing havoc and smashing glasses the night before. Cheaper choices of beer, but you wouldn’t want to finish your pint!More

The attitude and service in this place is the worst I have experienced. Many better places to go in Bruges, plus it's like a sauna, the beer is cheap the reason for this as no one would choose to drink unless intoxicated!More

This was our second visit, and is a must when visiting Bruge s for beer lovers. Great venue for a relaxing beer and the paddle board of five beers for 12 euros is a must.
