I wish I had of used the train toilet. Got to the station and didn’t have any cash to pay to use their toilet. I come from a country where this is free for everyone. Just appalling if you ask me.
Went to buy a bus ticket at the adjoining bus ticket office outside and the service was less than sub standard. No one inside so I approached the ticket lady, she turned me away and told me to first grab a customer number, then I was called by her to purchase the ticket…unbelievable!! If you’re staying in the centre it’s only a 20min walk. Don’t bother feeding this system.

Very poor! No toilet facilities unless you have cash. 50cents to use the toilets but no card facility, which I think is very poor as many people don’t carry cash these days. Very rude toilet attendant too.

The station is an approx 15 minute walk from the town centre. If you’re pulling a wheelie bag, be aware that the route to the centre, and indeed all of the centre, is cobblestones. We feared the wheels might fall off! There is a regular train service into Brussels Midi where we connected with the Eurostar for our journey back to London St Pancras.

One of the nicest stations in Belgium and easy to find things, restaurants, cafes or your platforms, very well maintained, if you must take a train don’t worry at all!

This ordinary train station is conveniently located near the city's center, which can be reached by a 10-15 minute walk.

Nicely located , just 10min from city center, clean and with adequate information for travelers. Staff very helpful speaking English and French. Outside of the station taxis and buses with many routes to cover.

We came from Brussels by train to Bruges.
The central railway station of Bruges was like a museum. We enjoyed it so much.
It was only a 10-15 minute walk to get into the historical downtown of the town.

Easy to navigate - much easier than the larger stations in Belgium which I found very confusing. Luckily the Belgians are nice people who helped me find my way! Easy to buy a ticket and catch a cab at this station (pre-pandemic).

The Centraal Station in Amsterdam is more architecturally old school, but Bruges's station is very functional and it is a short 15-minute walk from the historic center of town. Don't bother to get a taxi. You can walk it through the park if you don't mind the cobblestones.

I’ve found Belgian national railways to be excellent (unlike the dreadful fragmented rubbish we suffer in the UK)
Brugge was like the other stations: helpful smart staff, lots of clear information, easy to use ticket machines, lots of cafes/bars.
