It is on the tourist route from the bus park and the railway station, that takes people all the way towards the main square. So you have a constant stream of tourists walking by. You might see many locals as well, either walking their dog, or cycling along. I always find it interesting to see the many varied people who... More

We arrived at the train station, whilst walking up to the hotel we passed the Minnewater, the first attraction of this city to us. We ended up walking back from the central town to minnewater twice, once siting by the lake in a bar, and second time sitting in a public park. It was very relaxing place to us. I... More

This place was so beautiful and peaceful. Such a tranquil place with woods and a park nearby. Sat and had a drink by the lake. A very good place to go.

This is a beautiful place to walk around in summer with great natural scenery paired with classic medieval bruges architecture. I would say that it's lovely to walk around, but not much else to do there, the restaurants (being a tourist area) are on the expensive side. Take a tour to fully appreciate this local gem though (I would highly... More

This is a nice part of town to sit and relax. There are also shops and restaurants to go to for a more active visit to this area.

We came off the train and then elected to walk along the river to the Minnewater Lake. Ths was designed to prevent Bruges from flooding, with weirs and locks and provides a beautiful backdrop and place of rducks and swans to live. Very nice place as part of a historic walk around Bruges.

I had visions of this grand, idealistic, stunning lake before I went, but in reality it is just a lake.. it is pretty and quiet, but I have been a few places and therefore it did not really impress me, we had a walk around it one evening and it was pleasant but hardly an attraction. It is also very... More

This is a beautiful spot! However on cruise days it is SLAMMED with people. Be aware! There are several benches to sit and people watch or watch the swans!

This is a beautiful area of Bruges, especially on a sunny day. We enjoyed a gentle stroll around this park away from the busier streets of Bruges.
