Seriously beautiful, especially in the sunshine. Great for a walk, or lounging about in the pub garden with a gin and tonic. A must see when visiting Bruges.

Only walked past on way to train station. Calm and stunning. Worth a stroll to see even if passing. Not sure if anything to do but great photo shoot

After walking around all over Bruges and seeing the sights, one gets thirsty...and the small 'castle' that sits on Minnewater Lake is a great place to rest, have something cold (or hot) to drink and a small snack. The lake is full of gulls, ducks and swans and is a very peaceful place to rest before venturing out again. It... More

We did not visit until this trip and im glad we did. Pretty lake with a path all the way round, quiet yet plenty of people about. Worth a trip we stayed about an hour but could walk further inside the park

The lake is somewhat between the train station and the town, and close to where the tour bus parking lot. I will suggest to pass by the park and enjoy a short break in a hot vacation day, but not worth a special trip to here if it is not on your route. Compare to the busy town center portion,... More

Beautiful is a little word to describe the minnewater. It's actually not too far from the train station and quite close to the bejinhof. You will have take some good pictures, and engage with some activities with lot of swans :)

the 'Lake of Love' as the locals call it to tourists is smaller than I expected, but beautiful, very clean, willow trees, ducks, tranquility, benches with armrests curiously decorated to look like sea serpents! Nice sense of calm, in contrast with the busy streets and shops.

Minnewater Lake was for me, the gem of Bruges. It bizarrely didnt get huge mention in guidebooks and I genuinely don't know why. It is a genuinely stunning little lake, surrounded by beautiful historical buildings and is perfect for a walk. I preferred early morning into evening time when the tour groups passing Bruges weren't about. Stunning.

Stroll through the park and enjoy the reflections of the greenery and the architecture off the waters. Great place to sit and have lunch or just get some fresh air.
