Whomever is the salesman (shopper keeper) working on Saturday, July 31, 2021, was by far the rudest person we have ever met. We walked in to buy 2 hot chocolate/2 coffee for our family because the sign outside lured us in (see picture). Upon entry, the man graciously handed us 4 pieces of chocolate-dipped orange flavored candy strips. Originally, we thought they were complimentary samples as guests and started browsing the selection.
After ordering 1 cup of hot chocolate for 1 of my children and asking about the piece of the “included” chocolate with my order, he callously responded that “I already gave you 4 free pieces of chocolate” that “it was his decision of the day”. I believe that was false advertising; neither of my kids liked that sample “chocolate”. I had already picked out a truffle because my child was under the impression she would get a piece of chocolate with her hot chocolate (2,50€) and paid the additional 0,80€ for it; against my better judgement.
After tasting this piece of chocolate, I was glad I did not spend a cent more in his shop. It tasted more like a cheap Swiss confection and I would gladly pay 10€ more per kg for any of the chocolates across the street.
I hope he was just having a bad day, but his poor customer service experience left a bad taste in my mouth (pun intended).

Dear Mrs. Terrell,
We are proud to have good quality artisanal chocolate in our shop at a reasonable price 38/Kilo. Many of our collegues charge much more for their chocolates.
You entered the store ordering 1 hot chocolate instead of 4 drinks and was not interested in neither chocolate, sweets or icecream. You received 4 orangettes and still requested free chocolate. There is not a single quality chocolate shop in Bruges that will offer you free samples let alone 5 pieces of chocolate and a hot drink for only 2,50 euro.
Neither thus the sign say you can choose whatever you like from the shop.
Last but not least Belgian and Swiss chocolates are the best of the world. I would not dare to call Swiss chocolate cheap confection.

The shopkeeper is a very rude person , I was really chocked by his behaviour . After taking a look to the chocolates he disrespectfully told me & my husband that we should absolutely buy from him and not from the other boutiques . And that were not allowed to go in the store if we don't buy his chocolate . I really advice you to avoid that awful & nervous person because he doesn't know anything about the respect of customers and he have no savoir vivre .
If you don't know how to smile don't open a shop , and if you don't respect customers choices and freedom just do something else . He just ruined my journey .

If you travel in the world and ask foreigners for what Belgium is famous for... one of the things that always comes up is Chocolate and Beer.
Flanders' culinary wealth is called Burgundian. In reality, the Burgundians copied their sense of taste and quality from the Flemish.
Although you live in Belgium, you clearly have not the savoir-vivre and are most definitely not flemish. Upon entering the shop looked to our artisanal chocolates from afar in a haughty manor. Asking questions clearly indicating you have never seen Belgian chocolates before and acting as if our artisanal chocolates are mere souvenirs like a statue of "Manneke Pis". Leaving the shop shortly afterwards because our chocolates do not fashionable enough to your taste (althought you have never sampled the devine taste) and returning because our collegues offer fine chocolates but at a more expensive price.
We stand proud of our chocolate creations and welcome everyone that likes to taste them, learn about chocolate and indulge in the world of chocolate.

After visiting several chocolate shops finally found a place where they sell amazing hand made vegan chocolates. Friendly service. Next to vegan truffels, which are to die for, the staff explained us the different fillings of the chocolates. We also bought the chocolate vegan drink sticks and were very tasty. They are even planning to extend their vegan products in the nearby future. Highly recommend !

Chocolalino is a 100% local store. They have a great variety of chocolates and they gave us many samples to try. The customer service was wonderful and we had an amazing experience.

Went there yesterday, amazing chocolates with a large selection of chocolates to choose from. Bruges has a ton of chocolate stores to pick from, tried many and this stood out as the best.

I entered the shop and looked around - and because I took a picture of the chocolate, a very rude guy jumped in front of me and said that I should either leave or look with my eyes, not my camera - in front of other customers. Very embarrassing experience - there are plenty of lovely artisan chocolate shops nearby, so I recommend you chose another place if you are looking for a pleasant customer experience.

Terribly rude shopkeeper, that doesn’t know how to talk to children or clients. Clearly, this is not a one off incident, as one can see from all the terrible reviews he’s got.

Dearest,
You entered our shop and simply enjoyed watching your children misbehave and damage our interior.
Perhaps you were thinking 'I'm in holiday" so I let my kids do whatever they want. Logically that we requested you to leave our shop.
No wonder everywhere in the world adults-only hotels, restaurants, bars and shops are appearing.

En nuestra última visita a Brugge nos enseñaron esta magnífica chocolatería y nos encantó.
El chico es majisimo, te asesora y el chocolate es de primera calidad, delicioso y además artesanal y su precio muy razonable.
100% recomendado si visitas brujas.
Ah! Y además también tiene cerveza con chocolate!
