Amazing tour that you need to do as soon as you arrive in Bruges. You’ll be given so many hints and tips that I wish I’d have known sooner!
Gosia was our tour guide, and she was absolutely brilliant! Charismatic, friendly, humorous, very informative and encouraged us to take photos in good ‘instgram’ spots (for all you blogging folk out there!)
She also provided us with tips about where the public toilets are, cash machines, western union & where to buy basic necessities (i.e. water) without paying over the odds.
Gosia positively added to my solo experience/birthday in Bruges, which I am really grateful for
Highly recommend the tour, you will not be disappointed so don’t forget to tip!

Stephanie was an amazing and accomodating tour guide who obviously loves what she does. Her tour helped inform the rest of my stay in Bruges, and she managed to answer all my (numerous) questions about Bruges and its attractions.
As I see a lot of reviewers talking about the "free" tour, I feel like I should make this point. While the tour companies advertise their tours as free, the guides do have to make a living solely off their tips. The value provided on this tour exceeded the one I got provided by a paid guide, so do try to tip the guides for their time spent showing you around!

Although Bruges is slightly limited by not having that many must-see buildings or significant historical events to talk about, that didn't stop this from being an excellent two hour tour. Our guide, Steve, made an effort to interact with the group as much as possible, and not just by asking the occasional question about history like I've had other guides do. The chocolate tasting is highly recommended, I just wish I had room in my hand luggage to take some home with me.

Gosia took us around Bruges. It is obvious that she is in love with this place. We found it very enjoyable because of enthusiasm and knowledge. Fortunately we were a short group and she looked after us very well. Also it was a sunny day and we enjoyed. Her recommendations were also spot-on.

As you can see by my reviews, I always seek out a free walking tour when traveling. I've paid for a walking tour once and it was the WORST tour ever - so bad that I won't even make review for it on TripAdvisor....but onto Bruges!
This was a port stop, as I arrived via cruise ship. I took an easy bus ride into Bruges and walked to the meeting point - which was about a 15-20 minute walk. Our guide was right on time. She's originally from Poland but I can't remember her name. She gave us good information and descriptions of places, which I really appreciated. I would recommend this walking tour.

We booked this tour the night before not really sure what to expect.
The tour was excellent and our guide was very friendly and funny. We walked around the main town for around 2 hours listening to stories and learning the history of Bruges.
Highly recommend as a way to get to know the city, and good places to eat and drink.

My wife and I arrived in Bruges on Saturday 27th October for a 3 day break. We spent the first day finding our bearings and taking photos of amazing buildings that we knew nothing about.
We discussed going on a walking tour and were very lucky to find Natalie with her big orange brolly. Natalie told us that Viva walking tours were free and if we were happy at the end we could pay what we thought was a fair price.
We. Were then led on a 2 and a half hour history tour around the back streets and hot spots of Bruges. Natalie was a brilliant guide, she had lots of local historical knowledge and a great sense of humour to keep the tour fun.
At the end of the tour we really felt that we had learnt a lot about Bruges and it's rich and varied history. If you visit Bruges, be sure to look out for Natalie and her big orange brolly, you won't regret it.

Not usually one for guided tours but decided to join this one. The set up is free - you donate what you think at the end. I had a figure in my head at the start and doubled it by the end. Natalie, a Brit married to a Belgian, took us on the most comprehensive tour EVER. She was clear, concise, fun, informative, enthusiastic and managed to run over by time because she had so much to share, tips galore. Make this the FIRST thing you do when you go to Bruges and you will spend the rest of your time working through all the recommendations. Just Brilliant - thanks Natalie!

We took the afternoon tour with Natalie on Saturday afternoon - the woman is a legend. For an 'outsider ;-)' she has an amazing knowledge of Bruges, it's history, quirky stories, tips, etc. Bruges is a beautiful location and yes you can walk yourself around, but probably wouldn't have the same experience as learning from a guide. Natalie went above and beyond the allotted 2hrs - well worth it.
TIP: if possible do this tour as soon as you arrive, it's great for getting your bearings and finding the locations you want to return to at a later stage

I will be in Bruges on Sat. 14 April and am interested in taking the free walking tour. At what time does it start and where does it start from?
Thanks
