super fun & social hostel bar <3
Spent 4 weeks volunteering at the St Christopher’s Inn Bauhaus hostel (attached to the bar) and naturally spent a lot of time in the bar as a result!! The bartenders were great, drinks fairly priced, and weekly events loads of fun (especially Wednesday karaoke nights!!!). So many fun memories here with the loveliest people (volunteers, staff and locals alike). The Bauhaus bar definitely holds a special spot in my heart and I can’t wait to revisit again soon🥳🩷

I had such a wonderful time over there. Tried so many different kind of beer. Love the karaoke night and I also met lots of interesting people. I totally suggest the bar and the hostel as a place to stay and have a great time.

Wanna have fun and meet a lot of people from all over the world whilst enjoying a good Belgian Beer? Then this is your go-to place.
And if you're not yet into Belgian beers, they have a nice tasting there every night as well (if enough people sign up), with great beers and good stories.

We came here for our free beer after the free night legends of Bruges walking tour. The guide did a good job of explaining the beers and they were all quite yummy. We also go to taste the most exclusive beer in the world, made by monks and a waiting list for the portions to dole out.

Cool bar, large and lively.

With a group of family members we stayed in the hostel next door for a weekend, and both nights we spent some time in the bar.

The decoration in the bar is really original, interesting and funny, and the staff is outright fantastic! All of them interested in a chat, and you will be served your beer accompanied with a smile, with no exceptions. To top it off, they have a great selected of special beers!

I will go back again this year, and would recommend everybody who gets to Bruges to do so.

I first went to the Bauhaus bar a few years back and had a great time, but my recent visit blew me out of the water, as the place has sky-rocketed into an absolute must-visit for Belgium, let alone Bruges. The lively atmosphere matched that of any popular bar in any big city in Europe with people from all over the world; locals, expats and backpackers all coming together for a great time.

A great playlist keep the punters happy and the staff provided great beers, great service and great laughs. The selection of beers was unreal and each properly poured in it's proper glass and correct style. Affordable too!

I went back each night of my three night stay and almost considered extending my trip after making so many good friends. The manager, Michael was always available for a chat and had fantastic tips and advice for exploring and enjoying the city.

Big shout out to Jimmy with the dreadlocks who worked there and winged me the whole night with a group of hot Spanish chicks. Genius.

Will obviously be going back... and ASAP!

We went to this bar for free beer after Brugge by night tour. It was very nice. Afterwards we decided to do beer tasting. There were around 20 people and it was pretty good. Not sure if I still remember his name correctly, but Jeremy?, was really nice and had a lot of knowledge about beer. I would do his job for few days! :P

A great bar, attached to the St Christophers Hostel and rooms, where we stayed, quirky brown pub style bar, see clock, it'll do your head in if you look long enough, it goes backwards!!!..Lovely young and extremely friendly staff, even though very busy at times, were chatty and helpful. Its in Langestraat, and the clues in the name, it's at the end of a pretty long street leading from the centre (Markt), so unless you were actually staying in the hostel, you might miss it, which would be a shame...also used by locals, which is a good sign..

The bar staff are more entertained by their phones, cd,s, each other, even the dirt under their nails, than serving the lines of waiting customers. If these were my employees, they wouldnt be my employees.

I'm often in Bruges for work trips and always try to stop past the Bauhaus when in town.

The staff there are really friendly and they know their beer.

Each time I've been they've had a few different beers from my last visit so it's always possible to try something new. Let's face it you want to try ALL the beer when you're in Belgium.

There is a hostel next door to the bar and a lot of their guests come over for a drink or two meaning it's a great place to meet travellers and randoms to hang out with for the night.

Love the quaint, olde decor with a clock that goes backwards and some candlesticks on the bar that look like they have been there for 100 years.

Hope to be back in Bruges sometime soon and will definitely stop past here for a beer.

This bar is amazing, different to most bars.
The candles that look like they have been there for years and the old style wood are fantastic. My favourite place to go in Bruge, also the hostel that is attached is amazing.
The manager Mick is a legend.
