We had fun on the tour through Bruges with our guide Marjolein. Seeying we visited August 2020 we were 5 on the tour, which made it a bit more personal and enjoyable. You do not drive that much/long, as the city is not that big, and there are lots of place to tell something interesting. (Male in the group would have preferred a bit more riding ;) Currently in the city centre you do have to wear face masks, even on your bike. But would defenitely recommend as a different way of seeying the city. We had our own bikes, but they can also be provided.

My husband & I had the fabulous Dany Vermote as a private tour guide. Dany was friendly and enthusiastic throughout our 3 hour ride. Since it was just the 3 of us, Dany asked if we wanted to see some of the more remote spots that weren't part of the "typical route'". We were thrilled at his suggestion, because we never would have discovered these sites on our own. Dany's love and knowledge of the city is infectious. His bike tour was a highlight of our 3 days in Bruges! The Quasimundo Bike Tour is a MUST!!

We were fortunate enough to have received a private tour from Jos. Despite the both of us feeling under the weather, and the weather being cold and grey, Jos was very much capable of keeping our spirits up during the entire trip. Jos is very knowledgeable about the extensive history of his beautiful city and he delivers his knowledge with charm, energy and wit. We came back elated and with a deeper understanding of Brugge and its colourful inhabitants.

We booked a 2 1/2 hour tour of Bruge by bicycle for our family of 5 (age between 10 and 50 years old). The tour was a great way to see the city and get a feel for different areas - and the information provided by the guide was engaging and varied - we all learned a lot and enjoyed sharing the tales with family members later that day. Also to note, it rained for the first hour and a half of our tour - and we were really cold - the guide was great, and bought us hot chocolate, and kept moving to keep us from concentrating on the rain too much! Bikes were easy to ride and we were provided with helmets.

We did a private tour for our honeymoon, so it was just the two of us and our tour guide, Jose. We had just landed that morning, caught a few hours of sleep to try to adjust, and then had our tour in the afternoon. Our travel planner suggested it, a) to keep us from sleeping the whole first day and b) to give us a good sense of Bruges. This was the best thing we did! Jose was amazing - easy to talk to, loved his city, and was very knowledgeable about the history, culture, and some off the beaten path things too! We got to see the entire city pretty much (we were exhausted in the best way afterwards) and felt comfortable getting around the city after. There wasn't really anything left off the tour, and there was plenty of stops to give us some background information. Everything looked absolutely breathtaking! Since there aren't that many cars in the city, and everyone bikes it seems, this was a great way to feel like a local. I will say...it has been at least a decade since I've been on a bike and I was a bit rusty. Although we were a private tour, there was so much to see and our guide was an expert bike rider. So, we felt a little awkward trying to figure out how to ride a bike again while paying attention - oh, and not hitting pedestrians (they're everywhere...in crowds...making breaking and wiping out more likely). I even had a local growl at me - yes growl at me - because I was in the way and couldn't get my bike going. HAHAHA. This was still a magical experience, and I highly recommend a private tour - especially with Jose (he'll give you the rockstar experience, literally) - just maybe get a few practice laps in before the tour!
