Fun bar with a lot of drinks. The guy who worked there though inexplicably tried to take my glass which still had beer in it. No worries - he thought it was empty BUT then he decided that I was too stupid to understand the concept of "guy clearing empty glasses" and chose to explain it to me instead of inferring that if I am stopping him from taking my glass, its because I am not done with it yet, I assume he didn't hear me explaining that to him. It was weird and patronising. Like yes my dude I understand that the glass is empty so you're taking it but I am telling you that the glass is not empty. Did you think I had just grown attached to it? Honestly, I can't stand this behaviour, I am normally a whiskey drinker so I have especially low tolerance for people thinking that a small amount of drink isn't worth having. It was literally in my hand!

Like beer? Go here. It's that simple. Many other bars seem to accommodate the local student population, but as a 52 years old Englishman this was exactly what I was looking for. The barman Ziggy knew all about his beers, and Jessie from the bar next door joined to discuss Belgian ales. Just remember to take cash. I missed the large sign about cards - but I was trusted to locate a cashpoint and return to settle my bill. Brilliant.
