The liveliest square in the heart of Leuven. During the day, you can enjoy some drinks on one of the many terraces. At evening, the ideal place the have a dinner or a drink to unwind after a tiring day. The longest bar in Europe with over 30 bars and restaurants. Also the place for a lot of (musical) events during the year.

This is the place with many-many restaurants/bars/cafes and consequently in the evening it is full of people, loudy (in positive sense), crowdy, nice and jolly! Most of houses were rebuilt in 1914-1922 after the most of Leuven was burnt by Germans and you can see...More

The grot market is surrounded by massive architectural landmarks. One can’t help bu wonder what it must have been like to build these.

Very nice please. A lot of young people meeting there, only bistros with burgers and snacks you may found here. Trees are amazingly cutted. There's a farmacy after the trees.

Too crowded. Every 15 minutes a beer party with screaming people. Beautifull buildings hardly open to the eye due to parasols. Pity.

Large square with loads of bars and loads of outside seating which they clear around midnight. The bars become late night party venues, the place for youngsters

Not a market day visit, but we’ll worth it as the buildings & those near it, are wonderful! Lots of pleasure to be taken here!
