In the centre of the city you will find the interesting statue Fons Sapientiae (Source of Wisdom). It turns out that this statue of a student with a book in one hand and a beer in the other, was designed by sculptor Jef Claerhout on...More

It really is a cute little statue, very picturesque as wisdom in form of water flows into the little guy's brain. Lovely sight when it gets darker and the lights are turned on.

A statue located next to the Grote Markt, Fonske is unlike anything we have ever seen. A funny cute little guy pouring wisdom into his head. Wish it was that simple!

Donated to the city by the catholic University Leuven. The status is a student reading a book. Wisdom is running through his head - in the form of water. Dressed by the students on several occasions. It represents somehow the students of Leuven.
