The castle is located not far from Brussels and has excellent views of the surrounding countryside from the upper tower floors. The grounds are beautiful and it's not hard to imagine going back in time, just walking into the rooms and through the halls!

We read a review about this castle and were not disappointed when we pulled up! It is exactly what we were looking for - to visit an authentic castle with a moat. We were able to climb up all 3 towers, and explore all of...More

There aren't many castles that you can actually go in and have free reign of. This was a pretty amazing experience. The host was very knowledgeable and friendly, and clearly cared about the castle and its history. But note, the steps are steep and narrow,...More

I found it exciting to see a castle dating from the 1300s (and before). Kasteel van Beersel has been restored throughout the centuries, but we still felt like we were stepping far back in time. Most of the castle open to the public, including the...More

We liked this stop. Some of the castle has been restored but a lot of it isn't so you get to see "before and after". It is amazing to walk to stairs the same as those of old did and imagine a time when it...More

We spent a morning visiting the castle. It's nothing special but I'm happy I've been there The Castle area is 80% open to public and with 3 Euro you can go wherever you want.
