Check for your language. Some of the trip we just didn't understand but still worth the trip and enjoyed seeing a different view of Ghent.

The boat trip provided an easily understood history of the architecture that fronted the river. A good overview and value for money

Perhaps in the summer that you can hop on and off it might be a good idea, but after taking the walking tour, the boat tour felt rushed and not as personable as the walking tour.

This is a great way to see many of the best sites in Ghent. The canal/river system is not nearly as extensive as the one in Bruges, so we were a little disappointed by how little ground the Ghent boat tour covered. Still, we have...More

We had an excellent guide on our canal trip in Ghent, passing so many beautiful buildings including Gravensteen castle. A variety of beers and snacks were provided on the boat. A thoroughly interesting, enjoyable tour.
