From the west side of the bridge around dawn. Spooky view many of the key sights in Ghent. Bring a lock and place it on the bridge and toss the key in the river.

From this bridge you enjoy the best view over the Graslei, where all the medieval merchants houses are located. The reflection of these stunningly beautiful old buildings in the water is a photographer's delight. PS Notice the statue of St.-Michael slaying the dragon in the middle of the bridge.

Not a busy bridge. Very good for a photo both in the day and when dark of all the various surroundings of the pretty town centre.

From this bridge, you see the beautiful Graslei with the lovely buildings along the waterside and you have the BEST vantage point to see the famous three towers of Gent. An absolute MUST!

The bridge of St. Michael looks completely medieval. But this is the deception of architects. This is neo-Gothic and it is built "only" in 1910. Besides being good in itself, the main value for the tourist in the opening views of the main sites of Ghent. A great number of three towers of St. Bavon, Belfort and St. Nicholas. And,... More

come see at night or dusk ; from the bridge down, bridge constructed for the 1912 world exhibition , together with the former post office building on your left hand side which is now a shopping mall. On the left also a beautiful view on the river through which went Ghent's early riches
