The medieval monuments and UNESCO-listed landmarks of Ghent are even more impressive when viewed from the water. On this tour, set sail along the River Leie on a scenic 40-minute cruise. Pass the Castle of Counts and the Butcher’s Hall, cruise past the Graslei port, and learn more about Ghent’s history and cultural heritage as you listen to the live on-board commentary.

We missed the flower market and that maked this square decidely ordinary . It has a nice bandstand but if there isn't anything going on then it's not really worth a visit. I suppose on awarm summers day it might be a nice place to sit and relax.

It's turnoing into a stunning flowermarket every weekend. It's very often that you can hear live music there. During festivals - it holds some extra venues. Underneath there's a big parkingspace. The place is surrounded with banks, bookstores and other shops.

This is obviously a major square in the city, but we thought it was rather boring. This is partly because there are no cafes or places to sit. However, the Opera house is impressive
