Beautiful spot in the old historic center of Gent. Lots of special old houses, sometimes too much repaired though

This is the best place to see while you are in a beautiful city in Ghent. You can have a boat trip to explore the city.

One of the best walks I ever had, although relatively short one ;-) This is the place you see on Gent postcards. Has some nice restaurants. Have had long chit chats over drinks over here. Coming here during a Gentse Feesten is a real pleasure.

These two areas are a really fine centre to Ghent, surrounded by really nice cafes and restaurants. Most have sought after tables down near the river. It's really worthwhile taking the trouble to get a boat trip, which takes you around the waterways and is...More

The place to be and to be seen with lots of bars and restaurants but everywhere is two or three times the price you'd expect to pay in Brussels or Antwerp. Nice view of canal and plenty of people watching

You can get a train to Gent and it's a 40 mins walk form the train station or you can get a tram and it will take only 10mins.

Graslei and Koreniei are the two embankments that face each other across Ghent's medieval harbor. There are guild houses on the Graslei side that hold historic significance to the city...and are quite picturesque. This... More
