Great place to stroll around in the Summer .. but don't go at night

The pond is back! Due to an unknown reason the water in the pond kept disappearing and they finally managed to find the cause and fix it. Don't visit this parc by night as there are obcsure people walking around, you will not feel safe but during the day enjoy the parc, it is really worth visiting.

Citadel Park appears to have once been grand, but now shows signs of neglect from years of disrepair. Dogs seem to be its most popular visitor with owners in tow. There's also the distressing sound of barking coming from a building near the lake. Both my wife and I felt a creepy vibe in the park, so i wouldn't recommend... More

In the Summer you can relax form the huslte and bustle of the city center. It is next to the SMAK museum and Museum of Fine Arts so it is a good combination. If you have kids, they will love running on the grass and enjoy life. At night however you should take care in the park as some people... More

I love the parks, sitting under a tree listening to the sound of nature. I also like to Take pictures, it's a really lovely place, one of my favorite in Gand. Next to it you can find the S.M.A.K. Museum.

Citadel Park is a wooded rural park situated east of Ghent Sint-Pieters rail station, a couple miles south of the old town of Ghent. You can walk there in 20-30 minutes from the city centre or take a Tram if you are familiar with the routes. It is a convenient park to visit if you intend to spend time at... More

Be advised that there are muggers operating in this park. My 90-year-old godmother was mugged here. There have also been rapes here. The public toilets are used by gay men. Make sure that other people are nearby if you walk around here.

this place located not far from Ghent-St. Pieters station. Me and my friends visited this place on the way to the city center. The park is quite big with a lot of sculpture. We're here on Saturday, a lot of families and kids picnic here.

It is indeed a real park , well kept but some people told me to stay away after 8 pm because of strange people in the bushes.. Some cameras and more streetlights can do miracles.

If you are a family this would make a good place to have a picnic and run around after having been in art museum, plenty of statues and histories. A lot of town walk tours stop here, as it used to be where town had army barracks.

Well, it is a nice park. And that is almost all of it. Nice place for a short evening walk, or a running round if you live nearby. Otherwise, nothing to see there.
