An enchanting fort, with sweeping views of Namur and the surrounding countryside. The walk in itself is worth one's while; exploring the fascinating history of this fortification that began as a protection of and a control point for the traffic on the confluence of the...More

You can get a nice view of the city and the pictures are very good from up there. It shouldn’t take more than one hour to visit it. We went there by car.

Walking at the Citadelle you can easily imagine Roman and various soldiers of other cultures through the ages hustling and bustling about. The sheer magnitude of the construction and the age of the bulk of it is mind numbing. The museum is cleverly layed out,...More

Many spots with free parking, and you can wander all over the huge site for free, only the museum and tunnels are charged. The fortifications go on forever, I spent 2 hours trying to see them all

The time we went, unfortunately the tunnels were closed so we missed an important part of the visit, anyway, the place is nice for a walk and even better if you follow the road down the hill into the river.

We reached the citadel by car, it was like a roller-coaster until we were on top. Once we got there, an awesome view of the city was waiting for us. We visited a bit late in the evening, so there were only a few people...More
