Dinant has made this special centre entirely devoted to Adolphe Saxthe inventor of the saxophone. It is not a museum, but an interpretive centre that explores his life and work. Here you can experience his technical achievements and inventions. Learn about his successes and his failures. It is also a tribute to the saxophone, originally and entertaining presentation. Well presentated in English as well as in Dutch and French. No staff or entry tickets, explore on your own.

Sit on the bench, have a photo and go.
The museum is very small and not really much to see. We were disappointed as it could have been so much more

This is a very informative and relatively small museum, free of charge. Everything you really need to know about Adolphe Sax is here. You can't miss it; there are footsteps in the sidewalk and pieces of sax on the lamp posts on the way! This was an inventor who left his mark BIG time on the music scene, particularly in Jazz. The world would have been a poorer place without him. Sadly, he died financially broke.

A small and free museum on the Main Street in Dinant dedicated to one of the town's favourite sons in Adolphe Sax. It gives you a brief insight into his life and the creation on the saxophone and is very well presented for both adults and children. Only a short visit as it is very small but still worthwhile.

Small room with enough information to give an overall view of his life, and buttons to press for some music, saxophone of course!

This is a small, free museum in Dinant. It was interesting to learn about the creator of the saxophone and what his contemporaries thought of him.
If you have a musician in the family, this is a neat stop.

Educational, and very interesting information on Adolph Sax's life and the saxophone.
The museum is free to enter, small, but with plenty of information.

An interesting museum that has so much information about Adolphe Sax and his life.
I knew that he invented the saxophone now I know much more.
I found it sad that such a genius died in poverty.
This museum is small and it is free.

A three-room “museum” at the birthplace of Monsieur Sax in the charming town of Dinant, Belgium. Really not much to this at all but a must if you have any interest in this talented musical instrument inventor.
