    Excellent Museum
I was very happy with this museum. I visited Bastogne to learn more about the Battle of the Bulge and this museum was exactly what I was looking for. It’s very informative and provides a lot of details about the battle. The exhibit in the basement which highlights what it might have been like for the local residents during the battle was very impressive. A “must see” stop in Bastogne.

    A well curated small museum
A small but well thought out and curated museum. Lots of artefacts and very good wax work scenario. The bomb shelter experience is well done and creates a real sense of what it was/is like for people in that situation.

Great Museum and Full of Interesting Displays
Excellent! The museum is very nice and the exhibits are detailed and well done. There is a lot to see and much to learn. There are 3 floors plus the basement to see various scenes and war artifacts etc. I especially liked viewing the food, cigarette and personal items on display. I saw two bottles of Fort Pitt Beer, made in Pittsburgh which I was thrilled to see since I am from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Also Hershey products. There were not many people in the museum either. I recommend you plan about 1 to 1.5 hours. We purchased our tickets on the same day once we entered the museum. Highly recommend!

The best WW II museum in Bastogne!
If you only have time (or money) to visit one Battle of the Bulge museum here in Bastogne, visit this one. I am both a serious student of and longtime collector of WWII items, and this museum presents much of its collection in full size dioramas. They are complete with powerful sound effects to attempt to give one a tiny sense of the realities of Hitler’s critical final and desperate attempt to stop the Allied advance. There are many individual stories of those who suffered and fought this battle during the worst European winter in many years. Speaking of dioramas, in the basement there is one showing the basement of a family’s while the Luftwaffe pounded the city. The room shakes, the lighting powerful, and the entire experience almost overwhelming in sheer intensity. Serious warning: Do not take young children or anyone w hearing issues, and optimally have earplugs or something to muffle the sound effects. As the museum requests, wait until the green light above the door goes on. 5 floors of superbly presented history in what I learned was a PRIVATE museum supported by visitors’ fees. I gave an extra Euro 20 to support it.

    Excellent presentation!
I’ve been to a lot of military history museums and this ranks near the top. Small in size but an immense collection, plus dioramas throughout the building. You can feel the love that went into this collection. If you only have a short time in Bastogne, make time for here.

Such an unassuming building on approach that hides a magnificent and extensive collection of artefacts. There are many incredibly lifelike (unnervingly lifelike) scenes from the war (you feel like you are standing there back in time). The room with the nazi commanders literally took my breathe away. I honestly don't know how they've done it, but it was so lifelike I started shaking in my hands and arms. I've never seen anything like this, I would very much like to return and see it again some day. Well done to whoever runs this amazing museum, you have done an outstanding job and we are so grateful we went.

The museum gives a real experience. Dioramas have been extremely well presented and authentic. There is plenty of explanation and many artefacts to see. The bomb shelter is a must. Go and have the experience so that the writing doesn't spoil it for you!

This museum is simply fantastic! the best of all museums. Great things to see and especially the cellar that shows the bombardment of Bastogne. Goosebumps ! Everything is on top of each other but beautiful display and many puppets, plans and full explanations where all divisions were and fought. This is well worth it and NOT expensive at all! don't hesitate, do it!

Excellent small museum focused on the 101st Airborne division. Bomb shelter is particularly good and gives you a real sense of what it must have been like for civilians in Bastogne, if only for a few minutes. A well thought out museum that brings their stories to life. Our 10 year old son was kept engaged too.

This place could be improved by either an audio guide or having the exhibits in chronologic order. It's an interesting collection of odds and ends accompanied by photographs with captions in both English and French. Don't miss the basement bomb shelter.
